VA SYSTEM TERMS OF USE

This system is intended to be used by authorized VA network users for viewing
and retrieving information only except as otherwise explicitly authorized. VA
information resides on and transmits through computer systems and networks
funded by VA; all use is considered to be understanding and acceptance that
there is no reasonable expectation of privacy for any data or transmissions on
Government intranet or Extranet (non-public) networks or systems. All
transactions that occur on this system and all data transmitted through this
system are subject to review and action including (but not limited to)
monitoring, recording, retrieving, copying, auditing, inspecting, investigating,
restricting access, blocking, tracking, disclosing to authorized personnel, or
any other authorized actions by all authorized VA and law enforcement personnel.

The Department of Defense Self-Service Logon (DS Logon) is a secure,
self-service logon ID that allows individuals to access several websites using a
single username and password. DS Logon is available to DoD and VA Service
Members and Patients (Active Duty, Guard/Reservists, Retirees), Veterans,
Spouses, Eligible Family Members (18 and over), and Civilian Retirees.


If you do not already have a DS Logon you can register for an account online.
Questions will be asked so that your record can be located in Defense Enrollment
Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS). You must be enrolled in DEERS to obtain a
DS Logon.

identification card for Active-Duty Military Personnel, Selected Reserve, DoD
Civilian Employees, and Eligible Contractor Personnel. It is also the primary

My HealtheVet is a secure online personal health portal for Veterans/VA
Patients. It provides 24/7 access to VA electronic health records including
imaging, prescription refill, Secure Messaging, and information through
web-based tools. Veterans/VA patients are able to better partner with their
providers to manage their overall health, make informed health decisions, and
record, store, and share important health and military history information.

The VA Logon is a component of Identity and Access Management (IAM) Services.
The logon account will allow electronic user registration, credential issuance
and authentication for users that are not in the Defense Eligibility Enrollment
Reporting System (DEERS).


A logon account is a way for you to interact with VA websites online. It gives
you the ability to identify yourself to the VA via your User ID and password. It
permits you to access a wide range of VA online services.


Your logon account consists of a User ID, a password and your customer profile
which contains information about you that will permit VA applications to
identify if you have the correct permissions to view the website you attempted
to access.
