Eleven will support the production, delivery and distribution of FIFA+’s live content. The company will also help support the creation of commercial opportunities. The newly launched FIFA+ free streamer will show 1,400 live matches per month, and 40,000 live games per year will be offered by the end of 2022. As a technology provider, Eleven is also responsible for populating the platform with live soccer from the governing body’s various member associations. Confirmed competitions already appearing on Fifa+ include the Danish Superliga, Swiss Super League, Brasileiro Feminino Serie A1 and the United Soccer League’s (USL) W League. “Fifa+ will be home to an unprecedented volume of live football, and leagues and member associations from around the world will have the opportunity to showcase their competitions to a global audience,” said Pedro Presa, Eleven Group’s chief advisor for DTC and strategic projects. We are particularly proud that the new service will make the women’s game more accessible to fans than ever, comprising more than one-third of all live games streamed each year.” Dave Roberts, director of OTT and digital at Fifa+, added: “Eleven are strongly positioned to bring football at all levels into the spotlight. By working together, we hope to shine an even brighter light on football from around the world – from men’s and women’s senior football, to the youth game. We’re very excited about how Eleven will help Fifa+ deliver a first class live offering to football fans and member associations throughout the game.” Share Story: * * RECENT STORIES LIBERTY LATIN AMERICA FINDS CHIEF TECHNOLOGY AND PRODUCT OFFICER READ STORY FIFA+ OTT STREAMER LAUNCHES READ STORY UK STREAMING MARKET HIT BY COST OF LIVING CRISIS READ STORY CSI Podcast: Dynamic Ad Insertion Your browser does not support the audio element.
