關於本資訊平臺

About the Database

本資訊平臺擬逐年彙整我國相關指標資料，並透過圖像視覺之呈現，俾便公務部門、民間社會與國際社群瞭解臺灣性別平等發展現況和趨勢，達成以下目標：
 * 提高政府部門、民間團體及學界對性別統計之近用與掌握，以厚實政策討論之基礎。
 * 就國際通用性別平等指標呈現我國資料，作為國際社群瞭解臺灣性平發展現況與趨勢之入口。
 * 透過指標資料之盤點與彙整，指出我國應持續強化之性別統計項目與資料分析。

It is an easy access to comprehensive gender statistics and information on
various aspects of (in)equality between women and men in Taiwan. The database is
designed to:
 * Strengthen the knowledge-base for formulating and monitoring policies and
   will facilitate making appropriate decisions towards gender equality.
 * Act as an “one-stop site” for sex-disaggregated data and gender statistics
   collected and produced by Taiwan Governments.
 * Encourage the further collection, availability, use and dissemination of data
   on gender equality, as well as analysis of such data.

In December 2011, following numerous dialogues between government and civil
society, the Committee on Women's Rights Promotion (now renamed as Gender
Equality Committee) of Executive Yuan issued Gender Equality Policy Guideline as
a blueprint for building a more diversified, inclusive and sustainable society
in Taiwan.
