In 1988, the Administrative Council of the International Telecommunication Union
(ITU) held its forty-third session (Geneva, 20 June-l July), during which it
reviewed administrative and financial matters, considered reports on ITU
activities and examined and discussed a new basic instrument for the Union
(draft constitution and draft convention). It also examined the report of a
group of experts on the long-term future of the International Frequency
Registration Board (IFRB).
