LIVE IN SURREY BRITISH COLUMBIA

SURREY BRITISH COLUMBIA

Living in Surrey British Columbia can offer a wide variety of benefits. These
include high-paying jobs, lower operating costs for businesses and homes,
beautiful settings including parks and natural spaces, a diverse population,
good schools, and great health care facilities. Below is information about why
you might want to consider living in Surrey British Columbia:

Surrey BC is known for its green spaces, natural beauty, and highly educated
population. Surrey BC boasts the highest number of post-secondary graduates in
British Columbia. This includes many people with degrees from world-class
universities like UBC, SFU, Emily Carr University of Art + Design, Kwantlen
Polytechnic University, and more.

Surrey BC has five beautiful rivers; the Nicomekyl, Serpentine, Campbell,
Fraser, and Atkins which provide an array of opportunities for outdoor
enthusiasts including lawn bowling greens, soccer pitches, and golf courses. The
city also offers over 10 million square feet of park space throughout the city.
Four major parks include Holland Park–the largest urban park located in North
Surrey–Fraser River Park Trail along the waterfront – and Cypress and Big Bend
Parks.

UNIQUE

Surrey’s diversity makes it unique. The City has a population of roughly half a
million people located in Southwestern British Columbia just 30 minutes from
Vancouver. It is the second-largest city in BC and the third-largest in all of
Canada. Surrey also has the only university in the region, Kwantlen Polytechnic
University.

Surrey’s top employers are in finance, insurance, technology companies including
Telus Health, Evertz Microsystems, Avigilon Corporation, and more. Businesses
benefit from lower operating costs when they locate here compared to other parts
of Canada or North America because our labor force tends to be lower paid than
many other Canadian jurisdictions.

NAME

Surrey BC was named after the county of Surrey in England. It was formally
incorporated as a city on December 31, 1952, as part of a nationwide municipal
restructuring that saw the creation or expansion of 15 metropolitan areas and
municipalities throughout British Columbia.

SCHOOLS

Surrey BC has many high-quality schools for adults and children. The public
education system in Surrey runs from elementary school to secondary level. Many
students move onto post-secondary levels of education at one of the highly
ranked universities or colleges throughout Surrey or in other parts of British
Columbia.

Private schools are available for people who choose alternative forms of
education. These include Notre Dame, Little Flower Academy, Lord Tweedsmuir
Secondary School among others. Surrey also has a French Immersion program that
allows students to receive English language instruction while learning another
language at the same time.

SOUTH SURREY

South Surrey is a big draw for people wanting to live in this beautiful city. It
boasts some of the best schools in BC, including Ecole Woodward Hill Elementary
and Elgin Park Secondary School. Families love South Surrey because it offers a
low crime rate, good proximity to shopping and entertainment facilities without
being too busy or congested — yet it is still well connected by public transit
to major centers like Vancouver and White Rock.

GREAT SCHOOLS

Living in Surrey British Columbia has many benefits including good schools,
great health care facilities, and more. Of course, there are always some minor
cons involved with living in any city – you can’t get 100% of everything you
want without giving up something else. However, it’s important to think about
the negatives versus the positives when considering where to live. Most people
who move to Surrey British Columbia, seem to come out ahead of time because of
the lower cost of living which means more money in their pocket. The people are
nice and friendly too! That makes for a great experience overall!

VIOLET THE PILOT IN CANADA

VIOLET THE PILOT

Evaluation Violet the Pilot in Canada is the very first in the series of
children’s book series written by commercial pilot and mother of two, Bettina
Bathe. In this book, Grandpa Cliff together with young Chantel and Mathias are
going on an outdoor camping and fishing expedition in Ontario, Canada. Violet
the pilot and her reliable animal and insect pals are hired to take the 3
travelers to their destination in her violet-colored floatplane. Violet teaches
her passengers about the floatplane, takes them through initial flight
treatments and delivers the travelers safely to their destination. For Violet,
security constantly comes initially as she advises the tourists how to exit the
airplane, protect themselves against the destructive sun reflected off the water
and more.

Beautifully detailed surroundings with Canadian wildlife tucked into the images
here and there will permit more interest in the pictures. The illustrator,
Barbara Fortin, creates an exceptional representation of rural Ontario’s
well-known “Home Country” area. Violet the Pilot in Canada provides more than
home entertainment and education. The author has also devoted a portion of the
sales of this book to the Heart and Stroke Structure.
