black spots? These vibrant insects come in an array of colours including yellow,
orange, brown, and of course, red, with spots that can be black, white, or even
red themselves. Some ladybirds even flaunt stripes instead of spots!
Interestingly, it's the wing cases that are coloured, while their wings, which
they use for flight, remain transparent and tucked just beneath the protective
