KERI RESIDENCE

A fully catered residence for female students in Nairobi. Situated next to
Strathmore University.

WHY CHOOSE KERI


SERVICES

FULL CATERING

Fees include breakfast and dinner on weekdays, and is inclusive of lunch on
weekends. To foster a family atmosphere, residents have meals together.  

LAUNDRY

Bed linen and towels are provided and laundered fortnightly by the Solandra
Catering Services. Residents are responsible for their personal laundry. 

WI-FI

Wi-fi is available in the library, bedrooms and most of the common areas. Access
is primarily granted for academic work though recreational use is permitted.

HOUSE CLEANING

Regular house cleaning is done by Solandra Catering Services. Residents are
expected to clean their rooms and some common areas.

Keri is a project of Kianda Foundation. Our goal is to offer an academic,
cultural and social environment where female students – residents and
non-residents who participate in our programs – can mature in all aspects of
their life.

LIFE IN THE RESIDENCE

Keri is situated on Keri Road, Nairobi. It is 2 minutes’ walk from Strathmore
University. Fundamental to the purpose of the Residence are the academic,
intellectual, cultural, and personal development …


FACILITIES

BEDROOMS

All rooms feature: a single bed, a study desk, chair, closet and a lockable
closet for clothes and valuables. Some rooms are self-contained meaning they
have all the features mentioned above, plus a toilet and shower. Wi-Fi is
accessible in the bedroom areas.

LIVING ROOM

There is a large living room on the first floor of the building. Equipped with
sofas, a projector and TV, this room is a great place to meet other residents
and make friends, particularly during our evening get togethers which are held
here after dinner, for most days of the week.

LIBRARY/STUDY ROOM

The library cum study room (which is open to both residents and non-residents)
provides a serene study environment. All library users respect the library
rules, keeping noise to a minimum. There are lockable cabinets to store one’s
items, and on the walls are some sockets for those using laptops. Wi-Fi is
available in this area.

ENTRANCE & VISITOR’S ROOM

The main entrance to the Residence is a communal and social area. There is a
notice board that informs residents and non-residents alike, of upcoming events
and activities. There are two sitting rooms in the main entrance. Visitors (both
male and female) can be entertained in these rooms.
