HORSE SERVICE INTERNATIONAL



Welcome to Horse Service International (HSI). We are an international horse
transport company with an excellent reputation in the world of professional
horses. We will cater for all of your international horse transport by air and
within Europe we provide road transportation.

Stable to stable service
We offer the unique service of transportation from stable to stable. This
includes everything from arranging the required blood tests and obtaining the
necessary permits until the health certificates and customs documentation.

Our professional team has extensive knowledge and experience and is at your
service to help you through the jungle of rules and regulations.

International horse transport by air
HSI is a specialist in international horse transport by air. We have been
arranging international horse shipping to all national, international and
intercontinental destinations for over 25 years.

During this time we have been working closely with KLM, Martinair Cargo and
other airlines.

KLM is the only airline operating flights with a Boeing 747-combi. The advantage
of this airplane is that passengers can take their horses along as cargo in the
same aircraft. All of these combi-flights are direct flights without any
stopovers which is the most ideal situation for the wellbeing of the horses,
because the takeoff and landing are the most stressful times of the flight.

BEHIND THE SCENES




Grooms
In all international horse transport it is important the horses are well taken
care of. Not only in the case of international racehorse transport but in all
cases we make the horses wellbeing our priority.

Along every flight we have attendants travel along with the horses. These
‘grooms’ are specially trained and qualified to make sure the horses will arrive
at their destination in perfect condition.

Pre-export quarantine
During the pre-export quarantine (PEQ) Horse Service International will also
take care of your horses. HSI takes the isolation period very seriously. The
regulations and conditions are accurately complied with. In addition, the
animals receive excellent care in our stables in Meterik. The horses are under
veterinary supervision and only authorized stable personnel have access to these
areas. The quarantine department has a separate access to the riding arena, so
you can continue to train your horse during the PEQ.

EXPORT

Export is the engine of HSI that keeps the motor running. There is an export
from Schiphol almost every day, or via another European airport.

HSI takes care of the import of horses from around the world almost daily. We do
that from stable to stable.

Virtually every country requires an isolation period before the horses are
allowed to be transported, apart from America and a few others.
