HARC is very pleased to welcome David Sargent to the Brisbane team!
David is a very experienced hydrologist, water resources engineer and project
manager who has worked on wide range of international and Australian projects
over a career of over fifty years.
David will be attending the Floodplain Management Conference in Brisbane with
the HARC team next week and would love to connect with both new and familiar
faces in the industry

HARC’s Dr Phillip Jordan is attending the First Australia and New Zealand Water
Quality Modelling Symposium in Queenstown this week. He will be presenting a
speed science talk on application of reanalysis rainfall data to water quality
modelling. Participants are working through a series of workshops on six key
challenges for the science, practice and application of water quality modelling
across Australasia.

HARC are very pleased to welcome back Declan O'Shea! Declan has returned to HARC
as a Senior Hydrologist after recently submitting their PhD at the University of
Melbourne.

Declan’s PhD focused on improving methods to estimate flood risk under climate
change using event-based models. This involved investigating how two key flood
drivers - extreme rainfalls and losses - are projected to change in a warming
climate and then using this knowledge to examine the resultant impact on future
flood risk.
