NUTRITIONAL SUPPLEMENTS FIRM TO PUT U.S. HEADQUARTERS IN NEW ALLEN BUSINESS PARK

THE MEXICO-BASED COMPANY WILL LOCATE IN THE HEADY INVESTMENTS PROJECT ON STATE
HIGHWAY 121.

such projects in that area.(Contributed / 5G Studio Collabgorative)

A business park that includes a new U.S. headquarters for a nutritional
supplements firm has gotten the go-ahead from Allen’s City Council.

Plano-based Heady Investments is building the 14-acre Prodigy Park project on
State Highway 121 near Watters Road with two planned office and flexible
industrial buildings.

One of the buildings will house a U.S. headquarters for Omnilife, a Mexico-based
nutritional products and supplement firm.

“We are building them a 90,000 square-foot building,” said developer Randy
Heady. “And they are going to own the building.”

The company plans to house as many as 100 workers in the office and showroom
building, with construction starting after the first of the year. The building
will take less than a year to complete.

“We’ve been working on this deal for more than a year and a half,” said Heady
Investments’ Sayres Heady. “There is a lack of product out there right now —
certainly no high-quality product like this.”

Heady Investment still has half of the Prodigy Park property fronting on S.H.
121, which can be used for a second building. Dallas architect 5G Studio
Collaborative designed the business park.

The last large vacant industrial building in Allen was just leased to
Plano-based Sol-Ark, which is moving its headquarters north to an Allen office
building and leased a nearby 180,000-square-foot industrial property.

“We are pretty much leased up in anything significant,” said Dan Bowman, Allen
Economic Development Corp. executive director. “Both of Heady Investments’
planned buildings are upgraded with a very nice look.”

Bowman said landing the Omnilife facility is proof of the appeal of the project
and Allen.

“It’s a good employer and they are bringing a ton of people for their
conferences,” he said. “They will be hosting events at our convention center
from time to time.”

Omnilife is just the latest of several recent business moves to Allen.

Along with Sol-Ark, Pushpay — a Washington-based payment platform for
faith-based and nonprofit clients —just leased an office on U.S. Highway 75 to
consolidate local workers in the Allen building.
