   We’re proud today to unwrap our new Global Research and Development Hub in
   Chicago. As our largest pilot plant, this $42 million investment, employing
   300 R&D Associates, will allow our Chicago-based Global R&D community to
   continue to innovate and bring fan-favorite snacks to consumers with
   sustainability and quality at the forefront.
   
   The 44,000-square-foot facility features a next-generation nut research
   facility and test kitchen that brings delicious ideas to life. Our new
   production line streamlines the product scaling process, and flexible
   innovation spaces throughout mean more room for creativity. This significant
   investment in Chicago comes on the back of last week’s announcement of a new
   $237,000,000 Nature’s Bakery facility in Salt Lake City that creates an

   We’re excited to announce our most recent investment of over $70 million in
   our Hackettstown, New Jersey site to continue our legacy of best-in-class
   innovation and manufacturing.
   
   Along with manufacturing efficiencies and advancements in food safety at the
   site, we also celebrated the opening of an R&D Innovation Studio in
   Hackettstown that included a new prototyping kitchen, packaging lab and
   collaboration space with the intent of increasing the speed of innovation and
   development to meet evolving consumer preferences. The updated packaging
   studio will allow for development and testing of sustainable packaging
   materials to support our contribution to a circular economy where packaging
   material never becomes waste, but is recycled, reused or composted.

   commit to deploy 300 heavy-duty electric trucks across Europe by 2030. 
    
   With the first two trucks delivered last week, this will save up to 400 tons
   of CO2e per year in Germany alone.
    
   As part of our goal to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2050, we’re
   accelerating our focus on reducing the impact of our logistics and embracing
   sustainable energy sources.
   
   Redesigning our networks and transforming the type of transport we rely on
   are integral components of our efforts toward making significant carbon
   emissions reductions. Our aim is to cut those emissions in half by 2030.

   We love pets, and across the world, millions of happy pets are part of loving
   families and communities. But some pets aren’t so lucky. In fact, millions of
   dogs and cats are homeless, either roaming the streets or living in shelters.
   
   It’s why we, in partnership with leading animal welfare organizations, are
   launching the State of Pet Homelessness Project: the largest ever study into
   the scale and causes of pet homelessness, bringing data and insight that will
   help treat the root causes, not just the symptoms.
   
   “For every two dogs or cats that are part of a family or community in the
   countries surveyed, there is another one that is not so fortunate”, says our
   Global President Mars Petcare Loïc Moutault. “That is not the world we want
   for pets, and we hope this data will help drive targeted interventions to
   give more pets the life they deserve.”

   We’re proud today to unwrap our new Global Research and Development Hub in
   Chicago. As our largest pilot plant, this $42 million investment, employing
   300 R&D Associates, will allow our Chicago-based Global R&D community to
   continue to innovate and bring fan-favorite snacks to consumers with
   sustainability and quality at the forefront.
   
   The 44,000-square-foot facility features a next-generation nut research
   facility and test kitchen that brings delicious ideas to life. Our new
   production line streamlines the product scaling process, and flexible
   innovation spaces throughout mean more room for creativity. This significant
   investment in Chicago comes on the back of last week’s announcement of a new
   $237,000,000 Nature’s Bakery facility in Salt Lake City that creates an
   additional 190 jobs.

   We’re excited to announce our most recent investment of over $70 million in
   our Hackettstown, New Jersey site to continue our legacy of best-in-class
   innovation and manufacturing.
   
   Along with manufacturing efficiencies and advancements in food safety at the
   site, we also celebrated the opening of an R&D Innovation Studio in
   Hackettstown that included a new prototyping kitchen, packaging lab and
   collaboration space with the intent of increasing the speed of innovation and
   development to meet evolving consumer preferences. The updated packaging
   studio will allow for development and testing of sustainable packaging
   materials to support our contribution to a circular economy where packaging
   material never becomes waste, but is recycled, reused or composted.
