The Friends of Memorial Coliseum is a community organization dedicated to saving
Veterans Memorial Coliseum and advocating for a restoration that fully honors
the building’s design integrity, value to Portland and its role as a memorial to
veterans.

We believe this mid-century masterpiece is poised to once again become a symbol
of our city’s highest values and aspirations, and to be a centerpiece for a
newly revived center-city district. Great cities protect their most renowned
architectural treasures, and great design is a proven economic asset.

On this website you will hear the story of this masterpiece: its beginnings, its
design and construction, how it was saved, and our recommendations for next
steps. Please view the Site Map to give an overall view of the content on this
website. And be sure to take the Building Tour.

Thank you for visiting our site, please join us to help save and restore this
building, and thank you for your interest in Veterans Memorial Coliseum,
Portland's world-class wonder.
