STILLBIRTH SUPPORT

The devastation, feeling of isolation and pure survival that follows babyloss is
something that no one should ever have to go through. Sadly it happens more
frequently than anyone is aware of and our lives become changed forever. Our
beautiful baby boy was born sleeping on 25th July 2016 at 41+1 weeks and we felt
so alone; little did we know that currently 15 babies are stillborn or die
shortly after birth every single day in the UK. Too many.

Beyond the major charities who support babyloss, we found ourselves desperately
searching for other support to help us to navigate through our journey of grief.
We have since listened to other newly bereaved parents saying the same thing.
Having spent time searching and following others who are spreading awareness of
babyloss, we have found that there is actually a lot of support available, both
nationally and locally, from counselling, support groups and small charities to
memory keepsakes.

We created the Stillbirth Support website to help to guide bereaved parents and
family to the various support that may help you through your own journey. All we
hope for is that you find it helpful and that you find something that offers you
a little comfort. Knowing that there is support out there certainly made a
difference to us.
