With over 25,000 students, the District is the fourth largest high school district in California. It has eight comprehensive high schools, a continuation high school, an online high school, a community day school, an adult school, and alternative programs. The District offers a wide variety of instructional options that provide a quality education for each student, every day. The District's well-prepared, dedicated, and highly qualified teachers and support personnel are second to none. The Chaffey Joint Union High School District Board of Trustees are steadfast in the belief that "Nothing is more important than student learning and their achievement." Our daily purpose encompasses our commitment: "To provide student learning, and ultimately their achievement, of the prescribed curriculum that takes place in the classroom under the direction of the teacher." The Chaffey District supports this daily act. We realize that our efforts uniquely influence the future of our community and of this nation, and we are passionate about doing whatever it takes to prepare students to be successful and contributing citizens of the 21st century. The Chaffey District has provided a quality education for high school students in the area since 1911. As the District continues to grow and progress, we are poised to meet the challenge of providing the finest quality education possible for every student. HOME PAGE MAIN IMAGE SHUFFLE PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE It is hard to believe that we already are starting our second semester! As we settle back into our school schedule, I remind students and parents that now is the time to plan for a successful spring 2023 semester. I would also like to remind you that now is the time for all students to increase their time and efforts on their studies. Students should be working diligently to complete assignments, study, and prepare for tests. I urge students to work hard in the coming months and achieve to their maximum potential! To help students with their achievement, we recommend the following: • Students may use the Tutoring Center in our Library after school Monday through Thursday from 3:15 pm to 4 p.m. • Use Parent Square to contact your student’s teachers if you have concerns about his or her progress. • Take advantage of additional help teachers offer before and/or after school. • Tuesday nights in the library for studying and tutoring – 4 pm to 8 pm. • Use Khan Academy and Paper.co to review concepts students struggle with. I wish all of our winter athletes and performers the best of luck with the current season of games and performances. Stay strong, focused, and continue to strive for excellence in all areas of your life. As a reminder, school is not in session on the following dates: January 16th – MLK JR. Day February 13th – Lincoln’s Day February 20th – Presidents Day Again, on behalf of the Alta Loma staff, we wish you a Happy New Year and great second semester! Jason T.
