Job description  

The application window for the Russian Language Specialists will open later this
year. In the meantime, we encourage candidates to register their interest in

Are you fluent in Russian? Have you always wanted to do something meaningful
with it, beyond just translating and transcribing? Well, now’s your chance to
use your Russian expertise to provide intelligence insights that often impact
government policy.

We’re MI5, MI6 and GCHQ - part of the UK’s Intelligence Services. We work
together to safeguard Britain’s people, interests and businesses from various
threats at home, overseas and online, including cyber-attacks, espionage,
terrorism, and organised crime. Working across our vital missions, you’ll
deliver impact at the heart of national security, all within a supportive and
inclusive environment that allows everyone to thrive.

We’ll shortly be recruiting for Russian Language Specialists.

Working at the heart of intelligence, you’ll use your language and analytical
skills to provide intelligence insights that often have a direct impact on UK
government policy and decision-making.

As a Russian Language Specialist, you’ll seek out the important information from
Russian language material, making the information accessible and understandable
to others. It’s gripping work, which will draw on your judgement, people skills
and linguistic and cultural expertise every step of the way.

The roles are based in London, Scarborough and Cheltenham.
