About Lowell, MA
Lowell Massachusetts is located in northeastern Massachusetts about 25 miles
north of Boston and is accessible via the major highways of routes 495, 3, and
93 as well as the MBTA commuter rail.

Lowell's National Park serves as a tribute to the Industrial Revolution and the
textile industry that was so much a part of New England in the 19th century. The
rehabbed mill buildings, the trolley and canal, and the museums are all part of
Lowell's Historical tours.

The 19th century mill buildings host small and large companies at unique
financial incentives which serves to promote new growth and development in
Lowell. The Lowell Auditorium is a 3,200 seat venue which hosts many of the
country's best performers at very reasonable prices.

The city's workforce is computer literate and supported by the schools in the
district. Lowell is home to the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and
Middlesex Community College. The student population creates a profitable
atmosphere for retail businesses in downtown Lowell and surrounding
neighborhood.

Lowell is built around the Merrimack River and its diverse canal system which
adds to its character and appeal. Residents proudly proclaim that Lowell has
something for everyone with its unmatched quality of life.

The late Ed McMahon from the Tonight Show was born in Detroit and grew up in
Lowell, Massachusetts. He got his start on television playing a circus clown on
the 1950-51 variety series Big Top.
