We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer who will set up and ensure data
quality controls are in place. Initiate  the development of a data governance
framework that includes data quality standards, data security policies and
mentors junior data engineers.

 

WHAT IS THE ROLE ABOUT? 

 * Design, Implement and Maintain a Data Platform for Internal and External
   Customers
 * Improve and Extend our existing Data ELT processes
 * Closely collaborate and support data analysts, data scientists, and other
   consumers of Tourlane data
 * Design and develop new tools to empower data-driven decisions
 * Translate functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture
 * Developing new approaches to data storage, evaluation, ongoing maintenance,
   and best practices.

 

WHAT WILL YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL?

 * Expert level knowledge in SQL, experienced working with relational databases
   and solid programming skills in Python
 * Experience  with modern data modeling concepts and large scale data
   warehousing architecture
 * Knowledge of data management fundamentals and data storage principles
 * Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and workflow tools like
   Airflow
 * Proficiency in building and scaling, monitoring, and maintaining data
   pipelines
