The Council of Marine Carriers (CMC) represents the domestic marine
transportation sector in British Columbia, mainly tug and barge companies but
also ferry operators and major marine constructors. The mandate of the Council
is to further the interests,   conserve the rights, and promote the general
welfare of its members. The Council’s role is to formulate and advocate for
policies, legislation and regulations that are beneficial to the marine
industry. The Council represents its membership in all matters before the
appropriate government and industrial agencies.
