Twice this week I've worked out for over an hour, and gotten credit for less
than an 45 min (1 time, I got 15 min once 30 min)... Both times, all 3
activities (running, strength and yoga from my garmin watch) are showing up in
the workouts on the virgin pulse app... Also, I hate the fact that I workout and
walk, but only get the points for one of them... It doesn't even combine if I
for example walk for 7000 steps and workout for half an hour, it just takes the
greater of the 2 :( The app hasn't been updated for covid, so it still makes
suggestions and has habits that only really make sense when you are working in
the office... Finally, the suggestions it gives when I do the health check don't
take into consideration the data it has already gathered from me, or the answers
from previous questions... For example, it knows by now that I work out most
days and do many steps every day, but in order to lose weight, it recommends
that I walk for 10 min a day. Or, I answered a question about how much added
sugar I eat with very little, and then it suggests that I can cut down my weight
by eating very little sugar. All in all, if I didn't get extra benefits for work
from using this app, I wouldn't have it on my phone.

I joined a steps challenge and usually just sync with Google Fit but had to
manually enter about 7 on day 7. The app did add the points but then discounted
all those points when my fit synced again. I tried to add the difference and it
wouldn't let me. I got a message that I couldn't add more than 30k a day. This
was closer to 20k. I lost a few thousand steps because of this. I was so excited
to push myself on this challenge, but the difficulty of the app soured me on the
challenge.

Poor design and awful user experience. It's like someone half-baked every
requirement, shipped a minimum viable product, and never bothered to go back and
finish it. Among other things: Doesn't stay signed in, and has an annoying
"you've been signed out" pop up. Just keep me signed in already; I have a phone
lock for a reason. Prompts to add a device daily, even when it's already added.
Just sync already, I shouldn't have to do it manually every day.
