Register Now Email risk is a reality for every educational institution, especially in the age of remote or hybrid learning. Cybercriminals exploit the inherent transparency in educational institutions — like open university directories — by using impersonation and social engineering to target the human layer of campuses: students, faculty, and staff. The 2021 Verizon DBIR found that 50% of breaches in the Education sector involved social engineering. Around 80% of these social engineering breaches involved Pretexting as a tactic, which is heavily associated with Business Email Compromise. With an attack surface that keeps increasing with every new semester, it’s vital for educational institutions to enact security processes and technologies that contain email risk. In this October 11 webinar hosted by Internet2, join security leaders from UCLA Anderson School of Management and email security experts from Armorblox to learn: * What types of targeted email attacks pose a real threat to educational institutions, * Best practices that enable students, staff, and other stakeholders to communicate securely over email, and * How to architect an email security stack that is effective and doesn’t duplicate what you’ve already paid for. Speakers: * Howard Miller, CIO, UCLA Anderson School of Management * Ben Fineman, Director of Industry Engagement, Internet2 * DJ Sampath, Co-founder and CEO, Armorblox FOLLOW US: * Facebook * Instagram * LinkedIn * Twitter * YouTube * About Us * Membership * News * Executive Leadership * Media Resources * Careers * Policies * Help * Network * Networking for Cloud * Operations and Support * State and Regional R&E Networks * Security * Security Cloud Services * Performance & Analytics Tools * Identity and Access Management * Cloud * NET+ Cloud Services * Exploring Clouds for Exploration of Science * Cloud Learning and Skills Sessions * Community * Research Engagement * Community Groups * Community Anchor Program * © 2021 Internet2 * Privacy Policy * Terms of Use * Sitemap * Site Design by FIREANT STUDIO
