Story

The first time I saw him, we were both sitting at the same gate for a flight to
San Diego. I remember glancing over at him and thinking, Oh, wow, he’s cute.
When I got to my seat, I saw that the seat beside me was empty and thought, how
awesome would it be if he ended up next to me?

Well, he did. We started talking, and then he asked for my number and we went
our separate ways. I was certain I would never hear from him again. I thought
about him often, but eventually he faded into the ‘missed connections’ category.
A few months later, out of the blue, he sent me [a message that said] ‘Happy New
Year.’ We hit it off like nothing ever changed.

How did you first meet?

Who made the first move? How?

He made the first move when he texted me on New Years day. A few hours later we
had plans for dinner that week.

What was your most memorable date?

We spent one of our first dates biking and then kayaking through the sea caves
in San Diego. Our guide joked that a few hours in a shared kayak is enough to
test any relationship—he was right! But we survived and that adventure remains
one of our favorite memories.

What's your favorite activity together?

We love to paddleboard and bike in the park!

Where are you going for your honeymoon?

Anywhere with beautiful beaches!

What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?

Last April we were able to see the Northern Lights in Norway. It was incredible!

Are kids welcome?

All of those who are invited are listed outright on the invite!

What will the weather be like?

We are having an Ohio February wedding, we expect snow and low temperatures but
rejoice in sunshine! Each day is a different adventure; keep an eye on the
"weather in our neck of the woods".

Where should I park?

There is plenty of free parking, both right out front of the B&O Station and
also over by the public Spring Commons, both are available to our guests.

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Yes, it is a flat entrance into the building and an elevator accessible inside
to the right for getting to the second floor for the ceremony.

What should I wear?

Please see our Schedule for the dress code. We would prefer our guests to be
formal and comfortable!

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Completely indoors with the exception of some photos; wedding upstairs in the
Youngstown Room with reception to follow on the main floor.

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Yes! We would love for you to take photos and share them on our app Joy.
However, please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony.

Whom should I call with questions?

You can reach us by paper airplane!

What is up with all the Sage Grouse‽

Honestly, they are just super cool. Also, if we could we would have a real one
at the ceremony and reception! They would even bring their own balloons and
strut all over the dance floor!
