This is what customer service is all about. From quotation to installation and
follow up the team at infinite energy were absolutely faultless. The quote was
very detailed and reasonable, they were able to install within a few weeks of
quoting. On install day a full team arrived and did the job quickly, quietly and

panels in the roof you wouldn’t know there was a system installed. Not one

FAQS

Why should I get solar panels?

By generating energy through Solar Panels, electricity is produced at a zero
carbon level. This means energy produced does not contribute to the ever growing
issues with climate change. The more energy you produce via PV panels, the less
reliant you become on the grid. Less energy purchased from the grid ultimately
leads to increased savings and lower electricity bills.

How much sunshine is required for my solar system to work?

Daylight is all that is required for solar panels to produce energy to be used
in the home. Even when it’s cloudy, foggy, overcast and in winter, solar panels
capture whatever sunlight is available.

How soon will I start saving money?

Instantly! You can expect to save anywhere from 50% to 70% off your energy bill
the minute you switch on your new solar system.

When installing a solar system, which roof direction is best?

In the UK, the best direction for a roof to face is south, provided it isn’t
covered by shade. Solar panels will work on an east or west-facing roof with a
slope, or pitch, of between 15 and 55 degrees, generating enough energy for home
and business use. Panels facing to the north will not generate sufficient
energy.

Why is storage important?

Energy storage - in the form of a home battery - improves how energy can be
stored, delivered and consumed. This can be useful during power cuts, or working
with a solar PV system to store the energy generated during the day for use at
night. In most cases, the presence of a home battery delivers cleaner and more
cost-effective ways for energy to be drawn, stored and used when compared to
traditional energy use.

Energy storage also helps to balance power supply and demand response within
milliseconds, making networks more resilient, efficient and clean than ever
before.

How long will my solar system last for?

Solar PV systems have no moving parts other than the inverter, and as such have
very long life spans. The inverter should last for more than 10 years, and may
cost £1,000 or less to replace, depending on the model required to support the
panels installed. An extended, 10-year warranty is often offered by the
installer prior to fitting or can be directly arranged with the inverter
manufacturer upon completion of the installation if required. This extends the
warranty from the standard 5 years up to 10 years in total. Panels should last
more than 25 years with performance guarantees in place to ensure a satisfactory
level of performance for at least the first 20 years in most cases.

What is a battery storage system?

A battery storage system can be installed in your home and store excess/surplus
energy generated by a Solar PV system or purchased from the grid. A battery
solution allows you to rely less on the grid during high rate electric periods,
use stored energy to power appliances in your home and even charge an electrical
vehicle or vehicles that you may own. By using stored energy, you can make
savings on electrical bills and depend on renewable energy more often.

Do I need solar panels to get a battery storage system?

No, you do not need Solar Panels to benefit from a battery. You can have a
battery installed without panels and take advantage of cheaper charging times.
For most energy providers, this is during the night between 01:00 and 06:00.
