   a joint venture to a non-profit corporation with charitable status. Read more

 * NEW T2K RESULTS ESTABLISH SIGNIFICANT BOUNDARIES ON NEUTRINO OSCILLATION
   
   With results published recently in the prestigious journal Nature, T2K
   researchers, including several TRIUMF scientists, have have made an important
   first step in the comparison of neutrino and antineutrino oscillation.

TRIUMF’S DRAGON CELEBRATES 20TH ANNIVERSARY

The DRAGON experiment has been a mainstay in TRIUMF’s scientific portfolio since
2001, measuring the majority of the world’s radiative capture reactions with
rare isotope beams so far and, in the process, making a number
of first-in-the-world measurements.  


PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR STUDENTS BRINGS 360° LEARNING FOR TRIUMF
CO-OPS

After more than a year of virtual sessions, TRIUMF’s professional development
program for undergraduate students is bringing together the laboratory’s Fall
2021 students for a suite of hands-on, 360° professional
development workshops scheduled across the Fall term. 


E-LINAC TEAMS HIT 2021 COMMISSIONING TARGET AHEAD OF SCHEDULE

13 October 2021

Teams working on TRIUMF’s Advanced Rare Isotope Laboratory (ARIEL) achieved a
major milestone for the facility’s electron linear accelerator (e-linac) by
reaching an average beam power of 10 kW at the e-linac's design energy of
30 MeV. The results, which come nearly three months ahead of schedule, mark a
major leap in the ramp-up of the accelerator’s output to full capacity and
eventual operation.


TRIUMF AND FUSION PHARMACEUTICALS ANNOUNCE EXPANDED R&D COLLABORATION FOR
ACTINIUM SUPPLY PRODUCTION

The clinical-stage oncology company and TRIUMF announced their entry into the
next phase of their collaboration agreement for the production of actinium-225.


DR. JENS DILLING TO BECOME DIRECTOR OF INSTITUTIONAL STRATEGIC PLANNING AT ORNL

After 20 years of service to TRIUMF, Jens Dilling will be departing the
laboratory on July 31, 2021 to take on a new challenge as the Director of
Institutional Strategic Planning at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee.


TRIUMF JOINS RADNEXT INFRASTRUCTURE NETWORK

21 June 2021

TRIUMF has joined RADNEXT (‘RADiation facility Network for the EXploration of
effects for indusTry and research’), a Horizons 2020 infrastructure project that
will establish a global network of facilities and related irradiation
methodology for responding to the emerging needs of electronics component and
system irradiation.
