IEC 62443 Security App Encryption Passwordless Login


SECURITY LEVEL 3 FOR IEC 62443-4-2

Industrial systems and critical infrastructures have high security requirements.
To fulfill at least security level 3 of the industry standard IEC 62443,
physically separated key storages are required. This can be satisfied with
external security hardware, such as security keys or smartcards. The Hardware
Security SDK provides a framework for implementing this with PKI certificates or
FIDO2 authentication.


HARDWARE-ENCRYPTED DATABASE AND DATA

Using external security hardware protects your data from being compromised by
malware and network attacks. For data at rest, the SDK provides the necessary
API for implementing full SQLite database encryption with PIV or OpenPGP
hardware. For data in transit, hardware-backed end-to-end encryption can be
achieved with custom smartcards.


REDUCING LOGIN TIME AND USER FRUSTRATION WITH PASSWORDLESS LOGIN

Google’s research study shows that two-factor authentication with FIDO security
keys reduces their employee’s login time by over 60% in comparison to SMS-based
solutions. Authentication failures fell to zero, saving thounds of hours per
year in support cost. Our SDK brings the FIDO U2F and FIDO2 standard to your
Android app.
