Coleman Jr., more affectionately known as, Dr. V The Speaker, is a renowned motivational speaker and academic hailing from Toledo, Ohio. His life journey, marked by adversity, resilience, and transformation, serves as an inspiration to many. Born into a challenging environment marked by poverty and familial discord, Victor's early life was plagued by a series of difficult events, including academic struggles, arrests, and personal trauma. His academic journey was particularly fraught. In second grade, he repeated the year due to reading and comprehension difficulties. These challenges were compounded by a series of suspensions and arrests that marked his school years. However, he refused to be defined by these hardships, instead choosing to leverage them as stepping stones to a better life. Victor's academic turnaround began in 2008 when he enrolled in college, a significant step that led him away from a path of self-destruction. He graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University. His academic zeal did not stop there, and in 2013, Victor earned a Master's Degree in Entertainment Business. His proudest academic achievement came in 2019 when he completed his Ph.D. in Business Management, specializing in leadership. His dissertation focused on the impact of crossethnic mentoring, a topic born from his personal experiences. Throughout his life, Victor has battled depression, low self-esteem, and other personal obstacles. These experiences, although challenging, have shaped his mission to inspire and motivate others to overcome their circumstances. Dr. Coleman's commitment to helping others is exemplified through the V.J. Coleman Jr. Flight School, which he founded in 2010. This organization provides coaching and mentoring to individuals striving to reach their potential, regardless of their starting point. He uses his life as an "open book," sharing his experiences transparently in the hope that others will find the courage to transcend their current circumstances. From a troubled childhood to an accomplished academic and motivational speaker, Dr. Victor J. Coleman Jr.'s life serves as a testament to the power of resilience, self-improvement, and the will to succeed. He embodies the belief that it's not how you start, but how you finish that truly matters.
