WELCOME

Welcome to Knights of Columbus Council #17824 at Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati
Catholic Church Myrtle Beach, SC. The council currently hosts General Meetings
on the 3rd Wednesday of each Month at Seton School, Carolina Forest. See the
Events & News page for more details or adjustments to the schedule. If you have

OUR MISSION

The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic fraternal organization deeply committed to
serving the Church, local communities, and families through various charitable
activities and initiatives. Founded in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney in New
Haven, Connecticut, the organization has grown to become one of the largest
Catholic fraternal service groups in the world. Members of the Knights of
Columbus engage in a wide range of philanthropic efforts, including supporting
parish activities, providing financial aid to those in need, and promoting
family values. They also focus on educational programs, disaster relief, and
advocacy for social justice, all while fostering a sense of brotherhood and
unity among Catholic men.

LATEST NEWS


Last month, the Frassati council donated $1,000 to Meals on Wheels of Myrtle
Beach. This contribution will help the organization continue its vital work of
delivering nutritious meals to elderly and homebound residents in the community.

Heavenly Father,
Give me the courage to strive for the highest goals,
to flee every temptation to be mediocre.
Enable me to aspire to greatness, as Pier Giorgio did,
and to open my heart with joy to Your call to holiness.
Free me from the fear of failure.
I want to be, Lord, firmly and forever united to You.
Grant me the graces I ask You through Pier Giorgio’s intercession,
by the merits of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Amen.

Blessed Father Michael McGivney

God, Our Father, Protector of the poor and defender of the widow and orphan, you
called your priest, Father Michael J. McGivney, to be an apostle of Christian
family life and to lead the young to generous service of their neighbor. Though
the example of his life in virtue, may we follow your son, Jesus Christ, for
closely fulfilling his commandment of charity and building up his body, which is
the Church.
