YVONNE KROONENBERG

October 2, 2015
Yvonne Kroonenberg is a Dutch psychologist and author. Her best known book
is Alles went behalve een vent ("One gets used to anything, except a guy"). The
book is a collection of columns highlighting idiosyncrasies of all sorts of men
- equally making fun of typical reactions of women to such male behaviour. The
book was a hit in the Netherlands and Flanders in the 1990s, for its unusual
approach: Kroonenberg's blunt, funny depictions of typical male vs. female
situations bridged the gender gap rather than exacerbated that divide. Support

GEERT VONS

Geert Vons is an artist and co-founder of Artists for Sea Shepherd. Geert has
been involved with Sea Shepherd since 1993, became Artistic Director and since
2009 is General Director Sea Shepherd Netherlands. After graduating from high
school Vons started a teacher-training course in handicrafts. After several
years he transferred to an academy to study alternative healing, studied
Sinology at Leiden University and completed his Master of Arts degree. In 1999
Geert founded the non-profit organization Whale Weirdo, an individual effort and
initiative aimed principally at the artistic promotion of marine wildlife. Geert

Outspoken rocker Tommy Lee, iconic drummer of the legendary heavy metal band
Motley Crue, spoke up on behalf of global marine conservation group Sea Shepherd
Conservation Society and its world-renowned founder and eco-hero, Captain Paul
Watson — when awaiting extradition to Costa Rica in Germany —at a Motley Crue
concert in Bamberg, Germany in 2012. With Sea Shepherd’s Jolly Roger logo larger
than life as a backdrop, Tommy told concert-goers Captain Watson was being
detained in Frankfurt, Germany for extradition to Costa Rica on a 2002 warrant
