Services.

We take the welfare of all students and staff extremely seriously. We have a
team of qualified Safeguarding and Welfare officers that work to ensure that
students feel safe and supported.
The College is committed to:
• Providing a safe learning environment for all students with equal
protection from all types of harm and abuse.
• Identifying children, young people and vulnerable adults who are suffering,
or likely to suffer, significant harm, and taking appropriate action to see
that such children, young people and vulnerable adults are kept safe, both at
home and at the College.
• Working in partnership with students, staff and other institutions to
promote a safe learning environment.

When will I get an interview?
You can now arrange your own interview slot here.
I’ve scheduled an interview but I’m going to be away. Can I change my date?
Absolutely! Just rearrange your slot here.
I’ve changed my mind. Is it ok to change the course I’ve applied for?
Yes, of course. We want you to be happy studying the subjects you enjoy. Just
let us know you’ve changed your mind.
Can I bring my parents to my interview?
No problem. We welcome parents, guardians and carers to come in and see us,
take a tour of the facilities and ask those all-important questions.
I want to get an in-year admission to the College. How should I go about it?
The best thing to do is come along to one of our next open days and the staff
can advise you.
When is your next open day?
You’ll find a list of all our open days here plus information on what to
expect.
I want to book a holiday for next year. When are the College holidays?
You’ll find a list of term dates here.
When do I get my free bus pass?
We will tell you how to get this during enrolment. You will need to download
the National Express app.
What is the number to call if I am ill?
You can email student.attendance@sandwell.ac.uk or call one of the attendance
officers on 0121 667 5028. You can also report absence on the Sandwell
College app.
When will I get the money in my e-purse?
You can check with Welfare on 0121 667 5073 or go to the Hub in the main
campus, 3rd floor.
Do I have to pay for my course if I am over 18?
This depends on your individual circumstances, but if you are between 19 and
23 your course will usually be free. Please email welfare@sandwell.ac.uk or
call 0121 667 5073 for more details.
Do you have any ESOL Adult courses starting soon?
Yes, we have courses for adults starting at different times throughout the
year. Please email admissions@sandwell.ac.uk for more information.
What documents do I need to bring to enrol for ESOL?
Please bring your passport and proof of any benefits you receive.
