READ PDF CASE STUDY AIR SEPARATION PLANT PROBLEM A nitrogen gas compressor operator noticed increasing bearing temperatures and high levels of varnish. However, the machine could not be taken offline even though the bearing temperatures threatened this action. SOLUTION Fluitec’s ESP VITA I™ unit was installed to clean up the deposits formed and help in reducing the bearing temperatures. Boost VR™ was also added to the system to ensure that the varnish deposits remained in solution and that the unit would not be forced to shut down.
