Prior to his current role, Alec was Pre-Construction Manager and Senior Engineer with CNC Foundations. He was responsible for guiding the approach and preparation of CNC Foundations’ opportunities across the country, from preliminary design concepts to final construction preparations with CNC Foundations’ team of professionals. Alec worked closely with General Contractors, Developers, Engineers, and Architects to develop the most cost and schedule-effective foundation solution for their project Prior to joining CNC Foundations, Alec worked for a national design-build geotechnical contractor for over five years in various capacities including Field Engineer, Project Engineer, and Project Manager. Project technologies included micropiles, underpinning, earth shoring, rigid inclusions, earthquake drains, aggregate piers, compaction grouting, jet grouting, wet soil mixing, dry soil mixing, driven piling, and slurry walls. Alec was born and raised in Southern Illinois. Outside of work, you can find him spending time with his wife, Chelsea, daughter Peyton, and sons Brody and Archie. In his spare time, Alec enjoys spending time outdoors deer hunting, camping, hiking, and fishing. A Project Estimator will be responsible for the construction as well as financial aspects of multiple projects. Responsibilities will include qualifying projects for bid, estimating, budgeting, securing contracts and supervising personnel on the project. During that time, John was responsible for all Marketing and Sales, Estimating, and Project Management. Prior to CNC Foundations, John worked outside the industry but quickly took to the position and was promoted to Vice President of the Civil Construction Division in 2012. Since taking over the position, John’s focus has been to build a team of professionals that understand the value of the relationship that will bring experience and value to CNC Foundations’ clients. John is from Anderson, IN, and has been married to his wife, Julie, for over 25 years. John enjoys spending time with his family, duck hunting, golfing, and sports in general. Find John on: LinkedIn X Mike Haschemeyer Mike has served as CNC Foundations’ Chief Engineer for over 10 years, overseeing and managing the engineering department. His duties include overseeing the preparation of design concepts for design-build projects as well as preparation, review, and approval of engineering design submittals. Prior to joining CNC Foundations, Mike worked for a national engineering firm in various capacities including Branch Manager and Regional Engineer Mike’s duties included overseeing foundation engineering services, slope stability analysis, seismic studies, settlement monitoring, mass fill recommendation and observation, testing and inspection of concrete, soils, reinforcing steel, post-tensioning, foundations, and soil stabilization X Tom Layne Tom Layne came to CNC Foundations in June 2020 from a career in professional baseball. In 13 years, Tom covered both coasts and everywhere in between, playing for the Arizona Diamondbacks, San Diego Padres, Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, LA Dodgers, and finally, the St. Louis Cardinals. Although CNC Foundations is his first role in civil construction, his years as a professional athlete bring many traits for success. His ability to persevere in competitive environments, adapt to different people and cultures, and his self-motivation to succeed are all valuable assets for his role at CNC Foundations. Tom may not have specific professional experience within the industry, but he’s been surrounded by it his entire life. His experience with the construction industry comes from the work of his dad, brothers, and uncles. You can tell it’s in his blood as he maneuvers job sites and conversations of the business with fluidity. Tom is an avid outdoorsman who spends most of the fall and winter in a deer stand or a duck blind with his silver labrador, Charlie. His wife and two daughters are glad to have him “home” and keep him busy with neighborhood bike rides, barbecues on the back porch, and honey-do projects. X Bryan Hofius Bryan Hofius joined CNC Foundations in 2022 after 20+ years of experience in sales across various industries. Most recently, he has been in custom/technical manufacturing sales, gaining knowledge and experience and learning to perfect the micro details. Bryan is an avid outdoorsman and spends most of his spare time with his family outdoors as much as possible – fishing, hunting, golfing, or just enjoying time together. He has been married to his wife, Laura for 10 years. Bryan also enjoys coaching baseball, basketball, and football for their son, Mason (9), as well as attending gymnastics for their daughter, Morgan (7). Michelle’s clients have ranged from local non-profits to Fortune 500 organizations with a national footprint. No project is too large to be intractable to her disciplined, communication-driven management; no project is too small to deserve her constant, focused, meticulous oversight. In her off-hours, with more active recreations on hold for the present, Michelle enjoys hanging with her husband, her three children, and her rescue pup. X Shawn Lyons Shawn came to CNC Foundations in 2020 after over 20 years in various sales and leadership roles across multiple industries. Shawn has spent over 10 years in both the transportation industry as well as technology. During these times he has led teams as small as 5 people or as large as 75. In Shawn’s spare time he loves to coach football, baseball, or basketball for his sons Will and Sam. Shawn has been married for over 24 years to his wife Christy and they enjoy traveling as a family. X Ryan Hunsaker Ryan started his career at CNC Foundations in 2014 in the role of an Estimator/Project Manager. During this time, Ryan would estimate a project and then perform the duties of Project Manager on that job when CNC Foundations won the project. Ryan was then responsible for managing both the estimating department and project management department when the original department was divided into two. With the continued growth of the company, Ryan took on the role of Director of the Project Managers and oversees all the project management of every project that CNC Foundations builds.
