ANOTHER GOOD STAY AT TOWNEPLACE SUITES LATHAM ALBANY AIRPORT MARRIOTT.
A Very Good stay again. We always use your Marriott Latham when we come to
Albany to visit with our daughter and her young and growing family. At
least twice/Yr, if not more.
Our experience with your Front Desk Staff/Team (either evening or day)
continues to demonstrate to us that you do genuinely try to make the
Customer whole/right or satisfied, at least, based on our experiences with
you across the last 3-4 yrs+, each time it's been needed, no matter our
topic of need. This stay was no different. You helped us again.
And there have been a couple of add'l opportunities where you've helped us
out over the last few years, as I think back, while sharing this feedback
with you now.

TOWNPLACE SUITES - MY HOME AWAY FROM HOME.
When I work out of town around the country and world, I use Townplace
Suites in Latham as my gold standard for hotel excellence to compare all
others to. This hotel checks all the boxes for me working out of town on
projects... comfortable, quiet rooms, excellent internet, great breakfast
and convenient location. The topper is the excellent staff, these guys
remember me when I haven't seen them in months... unbelievable. They are
problem solvers and are only worried about making things right by the
customer... hard to find anymore! To Amanda and her staff... thank you for
another great stay!!

FRIENDLY
I called they told me my room was ready. When I got there I didn't have a
room and they had to assign me a handicap room! Kids didn't like the
shower. Other then that the staff was very friendly and nice. This was a
great location. Kids enjoyed the pool and the computer in the lobby. The
outside patio was nice and comfy. Breakfast was great!

LOIS AT THE FRONT DESK IS A RACIST
I stayed at this hotel on and off for the past 90 days and spent over
$7500. I came into my room after working late and was locked out. The women
at front told me my last reservation from 2 weeks prior wasn’t paid. I
showed her my card that they had the amount still on hold pending. After a
small dispute she figured out where she went wrong and I got a new key to
my room. The next day it was my check out but I went to extend it at the
desk like I’ve done for the past month and they told me they were
completely sold out. When I called the reservation line they told me there
were rooms available and suggested I go online and make a new reservation
which I did. I went down to check out and back in to my new reservation and
Lois at the desk told me she couldn’t check me in because they were sold
out. I went back to my room to find another hotel. I hear a knock on my
door and they sent a hotel runner to tell me they were calling the cops on
me I was confused and so was the worker. Ten minutes later I go to walk out
the room and 3 local cops are at the door about to knock I asked them
what’s going on and they tell me they don’t know but Lois from the front
desk called and said there was a domestic dispute going on. The cops were
confused as my floor was completely quiet. They then proceeded to tell me
the hotel did not want to extend my room. If your wondering yes I am a
minority and yes this seemed racially motivated. My oldest daughter who
actually is a member and made the reservations for me due to me and her
father going through a nasty divorce called the hotel and spoke with Lois
to find out what was going on. Lois refused to give my daughter the
information to file a complaint with corporate so she asked for the manager
and Gm’s information. She was told the manager Angela would be in later
that afternoon and would call her. By 3pm she still hadn’t received a call
and called the hotel only to be giving a vm and never had a call back. She
then stopped in person and was told the manager left for the day but they
would have the GM call her about her concerns on Monday (this was a
Saturday). It’s not been a week and we still haven’t heard anything about
our concerns of being racially profiled in the hotel (located in a
predominantly white area). My daughter has been a Marriott member for
several years and we stay at their hotels frequently this was the worse
experience we have ever had. I would not recommend anyone to stay here
