DATA PRIVACY NOTICE


The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) is mandated by Section 8 of Republic
Act (RA) No. 11055, otherwise known as the Philippine Identification System
(PhilSys) Act, to process the personal information of Filipino citizens and
resident aliens registering with the PhilSys. The PhilSys shall be the national
identification system to promote the seamless delivery of service and to improve
the efficiency, transparency, and targeted delivery of public and social
services.

“Download my ePhilID" is a portal that enables a registered person to download
their ePhilID as a PDF document. After accomplishing the relevant fields, a
one-time password (OTP) will be sent to the registered person's mobile number,
which will prompt the download. A password will also be sent to the same mobile
number to access the PDF document.


What Data We Collect from You The PSA collects and processes the following data
of the registered persons:

 1. Full Name
 2. Date of Birth
 3. Transaction Reference Number (TRN)

How We Collect Data from You

The PSA collects data upon visit to the website.

Why We Collect Your Data

We use the data to validate the identity of the requester and the availability
of the ePhilID and ensure that the ePhilID is given only to the registered
person.

Who We Share Your Data With

The collected data will not be shared as these are only for verification
purposes and are being processed in compliance with RA 10173 or the Data Privacy
Act of 2012 (DPA), RA 11055, or the Philippine Identification System Act, and
their respective Implementing Rules and Regulations.

How Your Data is Protected and Retained

The PSA safeguards the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of your
personal information physically and/or electronically by maintaining a
combination of organizational, physical, and technical security measures based
on accepted data privacy and information security standards such as access
control, acceptable use, firewall, and end-to-end encryption.

Under Sections 17 and 18 of RA No. 11055, the PSA ensures that the information
collected will only be used for purposes related to PhilSys. No personal data
will be disclosed to any government or private persons, unless consent is given
by the data subject, or when the disclosure is authorized by law. Further,
personal data shall be retained and stored by PSA for as long as necessary for
the purposes under RA No. 11055 and in accordance with the Data Privacy Manual
of the PhilSys Registry Office.

Your Data Privacy Rights

The registered persons, as data subjects, have rights provided under the law,
such as the right to be informed, object, request access, correct, and erase any
of your personal information on reasonable and lawful grounds, subject to
limitations as may be provided by law. For more details on data privacy, kindly
