The hands-on recreational and practical activities teach youth to immerse themselves in an environment conducive to positive change. We have designed our programs to be therapeutic and well-rounded. OUR MISSION AND PHILOSOPHY The GIFT program was developed by the late Dr. Arthur Pogosyan, a respected child and adolescent psychiatrist, who unfortunately passed away before the program was operational. His wife and colleagues joined together to bring Dr. Pogosyan’s vision to life. The GIFT program’s ultimate goal, as Dr. Pogosyan envisioned it, is to get the trust of the youth, to motivate, mentor and inspire them. At the GIFT program, the belief is that teens in crisis are best served in personalized interactions with therapists, staff, and fellow youth. The philosophy at the GIFT is to treat youth and their families with ultimate respect and guidance. The GIFT program provides the support and care for youth and their families to overcome weaknesses and fears. We try to inspire youth to reach their goals and meet their hopes. We strongly believe in the power of working closely with the families. Critical to our success is the engagement of the families in the process, which proves to create a lasting result. We strive to create a vibrant, culturally sensitive, and premier program in the heart of Glendale.
