FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Got a question? It's likely answered here.

WHAT IS OPENBOOK MARKET ID?

If you want other users to buy and sell your project's coins on the Solana
network, you need to create an Openbook Market ID. The market ID you create will
be associated with your "Base Mint" address and will become open for trading.
This is a requirement for platforms like Raydium.io and other DeFi platforms.

HOW DO YOU REDUCE THE COST OF MARKET ID CREATION?

With the expansion of the Solana network and its increasing popularity, Raydium
and other DeFi platforms have started to support Openbookv2 version. In this
Openbook version, costs are now much lower, especially due to improvements made
in storage and traffic, minimizing costs. If you're a developer, you can review
the open-source code at the following GitHub links:

Metaplex

Openbookv2

WHAT IS BASE MINT?

Base Mint is the coin address you've created. You need to enter your contract
address into the Base Mint field.

WHAT IS QUOTE MINT?

Quote Mint is the currency you want to pair with your project. You can choose
from the options below, with the SOL contract address being the default, but
trading can be done with other currencies as well:

USDC: EPjFWdd5AufqSSqeM2qN1xzybapC8G4wEGGkZwyTDt1v

USDT: Es9vMFrzaCERmJfrF4H2FYD4KCoNkY11McCe8BenwNYB

HOW SHOULD TICKERS SETTINGS BE?

You can customize your "Tickers" settings according to your preferences using
the examples below.

Min. Order Size: The minimum order quantity for the order book.

Example: Set to 4 -> Min: 0.0001 can be ordered.

Example: Set to 0 -> Min: 1 can be ordered.

Example: Set to 1 -> Min: 0.1 can be ordered.

Price Tick: The number of decimal places in the price display.

Example: Set to 5 -> Token price is displayed with 5 decimal places, like
11.12345.

Example: Set to 4 -> Token price is displayed with 4 decimal places, like
11.1234.

HOW SHOULD ADVANCED SETTINGS BE?

Advanced settings are currently closed to our users. Reducing the "Length"
values to reduce rent and storage fees can lead to errors, so they are disabled
for now. By default, the highest "Length" values are defined, which are
recommended by Raydium and other DeFi platforms:

Event Queue Length: 2978 = 262108 bytes

Request Queue Length: 63 = 5084 bytes

Event Queue Length: 909 = 65500 bytes

HOW TO ADD RAYDIUM LIQUIDITY?

After creating your Openbook Market ID, go to
https://raydium.io/liquidity/create/, and enter the provided Openbook market ID
in the relevant field. Choose the number of tokens you want in the market and
the currency you want to put in. Determine how much you want to put into LP,
scaling the LP size according to the volume and token usage you plan. Review all
your settings and complete the liquidity addition process. Congratulations! Your
project can now be bought and sold by others.
