ABOUT

Now at your service, Wichita’s finest flying club, Compass Rose Aviation!  Rose
is the Air Capital’s “hottest” flying girl sharing the thrill of flight in a way
the area has never experienced.  A curtain raiser for all to see, the new
glamour girl is a dream-come-true.   Meeting the needs of her community, Compass
Rose was constructed to exceed the desires many of us have only dreamed when
gazing to the heavens above.  Let Rose show you the way!

You are ready for the real thing so take your first step in becoming an aviator
with the queen of the sky.   Compass Rose Aviation was developed by a pilot for
pilots with a vision of offering quality and safe aircraft at affordable
prices.  Focusing on the positive qualities of aircraft ownership, but without
the hassles, Rose offers its members so much more.   Compass Rose Aviation sets
a new standard for the next generation of flying clubs.

Rose salutes the other flying clubs supporting general aviation.  Is Compass
Rose the only flying club, no, but let her differences prove she is worthy of a
relationship.  Only Rose provides multiple aircraft, commercial insurance, a
quality facility, online scheduling, a friendly flying environment, fuel
discounts, quality instructors, fair fares, and endless social enjoyment for her
most prized asset, you!  There are no boundaries in the air, nor in the hearts
of pilots, so for work or play, fly the Compass Rose way!

…so some have asked why “Compass Rose” for the name.  A compass rose is a figure
on a compass, map, nautical chart, or monument used to display the orientation
of the cardinal directions-North, East, South and West-and their intermediate
points.  Our main gal, Rose, loves the attention she gets when everything points
in her direction!

TRAINING OPTIONS

PRIVATE PILOT PACKAGE…$7,000 (PLUS TAX)[+]

> $7,000 (plus tax) Financing Available!

The freedom of spreading your wings! Rose will help you get your Private Pilot’s
license in a jiffy, and without draining the wallet. Rose’s Private Pilot
package is some of the lowest cost training in the country! Rose really wants
you to learn how to fly and for you to be a licensed pilot. Imagine the places
you could go, the people you could see, giving friends rides, the little airport
next to your Aunt Sara’s house, the awesome view from above, no taking off your
shoes/security lines, etc…the possibilities are endless! With the Private Pilot
package, there is no limit on aircraft rental, fuel, and instructor time (ground
and flight). Price includes progressive ground school, commercial insurance, and
temporary Student membership to Compass Rose Aviation.

Why do Rose’s Private Pilot Package over traditional hour-by-hour training?
Nationally, approximately 80% of Private Pilot students do not complete their
training…that’s only 2 out of 10 students becoming a licensed pilot!  At Compass
Rose Aviation, we are turning this negative trend around.  With our Private
Pilot Package, we are consistently seeing 88% of our students actually
finishing…that’s nearly 9 out of 10 becoming licensed pilots!  Our package
forces you to make the financial investment upfront eliminating the popular
excuse to stop training.  It is this investment and four month time restriction
that motivates you to show up often and excel at learning the skills necessary
to become a licensed pilot.  Oh, by-the-way, 98% of our students pass their
final checkride the first time…now that’s a number that is promising!  Invest
your time and money in a program that works!!!

Payment must be made before training.  To encourage you to keep to your
training, training must be accomplished in four (4)  months. Training is to be
accomplished in one of the Cessna 150s (contact Rose for training prices in her
other aircraft). Personal training materials, headset (loaners available),
testing, and examiner fees not included. Contact Rose to sign up for this
wonderful training package and, if needed, to fill out a finance application. If
Rose’s low cost package is still too much to swallow, feel free to contact Rose
for instruction one hour at a time.

Note:  Cessna 150s can be a challenge for some individuals who are tall and/or
heavy.  Please inquire if you fit this description.

COMMERCIAL PILOT[+]

So you want to be paid doing what you love, this is the first step. Contact Rose
for a cost estimate.

AIRLINE TRANSPORT PILOT[+]

Do you want to fly for the airlines?  At Compass Rose, we have you covered.
Rose has the aircraft, instructors, and examiner to get you done!  There is no
need to go out of town for this rating.  Let Rose show you how and she will save
you money!  Military pilots, we have the experience to get you the ticket you
need to work at the airlines!  Stay local and see how Rose can get you done in
record time!  Contact Rose for a cost estimate.

Note:  Our ATP training has been very popular with students from around the
world.  Out-of-the-area students are warned of the risk of issues that may arise
which are out of our control.  Airplane maintenance (yes they break) and weather
(Kansas has a little) are two examples.  Buying non-refundable/non-changeable
airline tickets, rental cars, hotel rooms, etc. is a risk owned by the student.
Also, not allowing enough time for delays is a risk owned by the student.
Please consider the investment of refundable/changeable tickets or travel
insurance when making your purchases and be flexible for those things we cannot
control.  Your understanding is greatly appreciated.

INSTRUMENT ENDORSEMENT[+]

Don’t let weather slow you down. This is the license that allows you to use the
aircraft’s instruments to guide you on your way. Contact Rose for a cost
estimate.

INSTRUMENT PROFICIENCY CHECK[+]

Are you a little rusty on you Instrument skills? One of Rose’s instructors would
be glad to get you on track. Contact Rose for a cost estimate.

HIGH PERFORMANCE ENDORSEMENT[+]

So you want to fly airplanes with more than 200 horse power. For that extra
punch, Rose has a Cessna 182 Skylane with the power to get your endorsement.
Contact Rose for a cost estimate.

COMPLEX ENDORSEMENT[+]

Have you seen those airplanes flying around without any wheels and the efficient
variable pitch propeller? Experience what it is like to flip a switch and watch
those wheels disappear. Rose has a Piper Arrow 201 with retractable gear, flaps,
and a constant speed propeller. Don’t forget to put the wheels down when it is
time to land! Contact Rose for a cost estimate.

MULTI-ENGINE RATING[+]

Interested in flying aircraft with more than one engine?  At Compass Rose, we’ve
got you covered!  Contact Rose for a cost estimate.

BIENNIAL FLIGHT REVIEW[+]

Stay current with this Federal Aviation Administration required flight review.
For the purpose of increased safety, Compass Rose members are required to
perform this training annually sometime during their birth month. Maybe this
would be a good excuse to earn a new rating or learn to fly a plane you have
never flown before. If never hurts to get more training! Contact Rose for a cost
estimate.

INSTRUCTOR RATES…$50-60/HR[+]

Rose’s approved independent Instructors have agreed to beat popular area rates
by only charging $50 per hour (ground and flight) for most levels of instruction
($60 for Multi-Engine training). These quality instructors are properly licensed
with the Federal Aviation Administration. Instructor payments are made directly
with the instructor.

ROSE’S FUTURE PILOT FOUNDATION[+]

In support of growing general aviation, Compass Rose Aviation will match
dollar-for-dollar, money donated to the foundation to support one high school
senior per year with a private pilot certificate.  For the first $3,250 raised,
Compass Rose Aviation will reward one local high school senior with Rose’s
Private Pilot package.  Don’t worry; the high school student will have to earn
this privilege by winning a contest that is evaluated by Rose’s panel of
judges.  For additional donations above the initial $3,250 that add up to
$6,500, another student will be given this wonderful opportunity.  The number of
students is endless and based on your giving spirit.  Rose will work with all
individuals, municipalities, and companies who would like to offer this training
to a deserving young person.  If you would like your donation to be anonymous,
Rose knows how to keep quiet.  To grow general aviation and give a young person
the gift of flight through your generous donation, click here.
