THE MATAWA PEOPLES' NETWORK

Affirmed by international and national connectivity bodies — internet is a human
right (full stop).

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to to fully realize the grand dream of owning and operating a
high-speed internet network using the most advanced fibre-optic cable and
optical electronics available that will allow for the best speed, capacity,
reliability, security and long operating life that no other network technology
utilizes today.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to to fully realize the grand dream of owning and operating a
high-speed internet network using the most advanced fibre-optic cable and
optical electronics available that will allow for the best speed, capacity,
reliability,
security and long operating life that no other network technology utilizes
today.

NEXT GENERATION TECHNOLOGY

Looking seven generations into the future — the fibre-optic cable that is
utilized by the Rapid Lynx network is highly scalable ‘next generation’
technology with the longest functional life of any other network technology,
will serve generations of First Nations community members for decades to come.
The Matawa Peoples’ Network will be revolutionary and transformative, especially
to the communities who have relied on dated internet technology up to 2022 –
2023.

INDIGENOUS BROADBAND OWNERSHIP

Being a member of the First Mile Consortium, we utilize the ‘First Mile
Approach’ to network infrastructure development which includes local broadband
ownership and control over local telecom networks and infrastructure while we
are building the Matawa Peoples’ fibre-to-the-home network.

OUR PURPOSE

Our purpose is to bring affordable and reliable
internet services to our First Nation communities.
