HOW TO BUY USD COIN (USDC)?

USD Coin (USDC) is a stablecoin. At Firi, USDC is used as an ERC-20 token, i.e.
it is built on the Ethereum blockchain.




You can also read this article which goes in depth on what USDC is and how it
works.





In this article, we will show you the different ways you can buy USDC at Firi.








CREATE AN ACCOUNT WITH FIRI





To trade USD Coin with Firi you must first complete three simple steps.







1. Create account

Before you can buy USDC, you must create a Firi account with your email or
Vipps. You can create an account and get started here.



2. Verify your account

In order to trade crypto at Firi, you must verify your account. You can do this
easily by connecting to your BankID and completing a simple form for customer
control.



3. Make a deposit or buy crypto with Vipps, Apple Pay or bank card.

To be able to buy USDC via Firi, you must make a deposit in NOK. After you have
made a deposit, you can easily use NOK to buy USDC via Firi. Alternatively, you
can use one of our solutions for direct purchase.










HOW TO MAKE A DEPOSIT ON FIRI?





At Firi, there are two alternative ways to make a deposit. You can either make a
deposit via Firi automatically by connecting to your online bank, or by
transferring money manually to an account number.







Regardless of whether you want to make a deposit manually or automatically, you
must first navigate to the deposit page.




In the Firi app, you can find the deposit page under the Overview tab, and by
pressing Deposit money. If you use Firi via a browser, this can be found on the
Main account tab where it says Deposit.





Option 1: Make a deposit automatically without going through your online bank.



 * Tap Deposit money.
 * Enter the bank you want to pay from in the search field.
 * Give access to the account you want to pay from with BankID.
 * Enter the amount and sign the payment with BankID.





Option 2: Make a manual transfer via your online bank.





 * Tap Deposit money.
 * Tap on the Manual Transfer option.
 * Use the designated account number and messages to make a manual deposit.
 * Go to your online bank and transfer the amount you wish to deposit with Firi.
   



Processing of deposits usually takes 1-3 working days.






HOW TO BUY USD COIN (USDC) AT FIRI?





To buy USDC on Firi, you have two options. One is to deposit money via bank
deposit and then buy. The second is to buy directly with Vipps, Apple Pay or a
bank card. Furthermore, when you trade you will get the best available price of
USDC at the time you trade (market order). However, if you wish, you can enter
buy orders at specific prices in advanced trading. We will return to that later
in the article. Advanced trading is only available via browser.

 1. Go to "Trade" and press "Buy Crypto".
 2. Select USDC from the list of cryptocurrencies
 3. Enter the amount
 4. Select the payment method "Direct purchase with Vipps", Apple Pay or "Direct
    purchase with card" from the menu.
 5. Make the payment at checkout to Vipps, Apple Pay or card payment
 6. Sign, and voila, you have traded USDC.

BUY USDC VIA "TRADE" ONCE YOU HAVE MADE A DEPOSIT.





How to make a purchase via Trade:



 1. Log in to Firi and tap the Trade tab.
 2. Select the tab where it says Buy or Buy Crypto.
 3. Select USDC as cryptocurrency in the bottom field.
 4. Enter the amount in NOK for which you wish to buy USDC.
 5. Tap Preview Purchase.






BUY OR SELVV USD COIN ON FIRI WITH "ADVANCED TRADING".





How to make a purchase with Advanced Trading:





 1. Log in to Firi and tap Advanced Trading on the left side of the Firi
    dashboard.
 2. Make sure the market you select in the top left corner is USDCNOK.
 3. Navigate to the box that says Buy USDC.
 4. Enter the amount of USDC you want to buy in the Amount field.
 5. Enter the price you want to pay per USDC in the Price field.
 6. Press BUY USDC.
 7. When the price in the market matches the order you have entered, it is
    automatically executed







Heres an example from "Advanced Trading".




If you have followed these steps, you are now a proud owner of USD Coin. You can
see your wallet balance and other relevant information by tapping Main account
in the Firi dashboard.
