Lindos (Λίνδος, in Greek) in its present form dates back to the 13th century BC,
when the settlement of Lindos was founded by the Dorians. The Acropolis was
built in 408 BC and served as a refuge for the people of Lindos during war and

The Temple of Athena Lindia is one of the main attractions at the Acropolis.
