MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AND EUROPEAN AFFAIRS TRAVEL ADVICE: COVID-19

As the probability of infection with COVID-19 remains present, Slovenian
citizens wishing to travel abroad are advised to follow the news on the spread
of the virus, especially on the planned route, to check the conditions of entry
into the country of destination, and to comply with local rules. Slovenian
citizens returning from abroad are advised to follow the recommendations of the
National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ).

 * ON WORLD BEE DAY FOCUS ON YOUNG PEOPLE

   Today marks the fifth World Bee Day, declared by the UN General Assembly on
   Slovenia’s initiative on 20 December 2017. In this European Year of Youth,
   World Bee Day is dedicated to the future of beekeeping and the role of young
   people in raising awareness of its importance.

   PRIME MINISTER OF MOLDOVA

   Ambassador Lea Stančič, met with the President of the Parliament of the
   Republic of Moldova, Igor Grosu, and with the Prime Minister Natalia
   Gavrilița on 8 September 2021.


 * SLOVENIA TO INTRODUCE THE PASSENGER LOCATOR FORM FOR PASSENGERS TRAVELLING BY
   AIRPLANE AND SHIP ON 16 AUGUST

   Slovenia is introducing the Passenger Locator Form for passengers travelling
   by airplane and ship on 16 August to facilitate contact tracing. Every
   passenger will be asked to fill out his or her own form, including passengers
   travelling together as a family or in a group. Passengers in transit, who
   will remain in the airport's transit area (unless they should decide to leave
   the airport area for whatever reason) and airplane or ship crewmembers will
   not be asked to fill out the form.

   Before Slovenia officially assumes the EU Council Presidency, Barbara Sušnik,
   Director-General for European Union Affairs, held bilateral consultations via
   videoconference with Aniela Crețu, Special Representative for EU Affairs at
   the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

   STATE SECRETARY DOVŽAN AT A RULE OF LAW CONFERENCE IN PORTUGAL AND IN
   BILATERAL MEETINGS WITH SLOVAKIA AND ROMANIA
   
   At the invitation of the Portuguese Secretary of State, Ana Paula Zacarias,
   State Secretary Gašper Dovžan and German Minister of State Michael Roth took
   part in the Closing Session of the High-Level Conference “Rule of Law in
   Europe”. The event was organised by the Portuguese Presidency in Coimbra,
   Portugal.
