Online scams are on the rise and lately, fraudsters have been targeting unsuspecting people on WhatsApp and Facebook. They hack WhatsApp/Facebook user accounts and send messages to the user’s contacts, asking for money. How it works A fraudster hacks into Mr. A's WhatsApp contact list and gets Mr. B's contact details. He messages Mr. B as an acquaintance and asks him for emergency funds.
