I had to face the fact that I loved painting too much not to pursue it as a career. I signed up for the airbrush course in Kortrijk (Belgium) when I was 19 years old. MEDIUM Ideas and knowledge are always changing. I am not tied to any particular art medium. It doensn’t matter whether a work consists out of acrylic or pixels. But more important to me is to visually represent the dreamscapes that I envision. EXHIBITIONS AND ART GALLERY In 2002 I started participating at both national and international art fairs, such as Airtist, Kunstzin, Zibodem, … When I was 24 I held my first solo exhibition at the Huyze Leopold Galery in Bruges. A couple of year later I won the 1er Prix d’honneur vermeille on the 38th International Art Contest of Wallonie. In 2020 I opened my ‘Creations by Frederik Gheysen’ art studio in Nieuwpoort. Where I exhibit permanently my newest works of art.
