INSTEAD, THIS WAS A DELOITTE-AUTHORIZED PHISHING DRILL.

Cyber criminals are targeting professionals at Deloitte every day, seeking
client and confidential information through malicious phishing emails. When
dangerous phishing emails make it through our cybersecurity defenses, we rely on
you as an important line of defense.

Have you heard about “clickbait” phishing?

These phishing attacks are easier to spot once you know what to look for. Watch
this 1 minute video to learn more and stay alert.

How you can avoid falling for phishing emails:



 * Take your time when responding to any urgent requests; cyber criminals will
   use urgency in their requests to encourage you to act before you think.
 * Double check the important stuff: the email address of the sender, the URL of
   a website you are headed to, and any unexpected or suspicious requests.
 * When in doubt, access any links from the web address directly, rather than
   clicking on the link provided.
 * Do not copy and paste links into your web browser if they are provided in an
   email; rather access the website directly as directed above.
 * NEVER provide credentials to unauthorized or suspicious websites

In the future, if you receive a suspicious email, report it by clicking the
“Report Phishing/ Report Suspicious Email” button in your Outlook ribbon. Thank
you for staying vigilant
