What is food? Simply put food is any material consumed to give nutrition to an
organisms. Food is generally of animal, plant or even fungal source, and often
contains vital nutrients, like proteins, vitamins, carbohydrates, or minerals.
The human body can survive on food alone; however many other animals and plants
also need food to live.



Animal food is food that derives from the bones, organs, hooves or teeth of
animals. Plant food is food that derives from plants – leaves, stems, fruits,
roots or tubers. Fruits and vegetables are examples of plant food.



Animal food is rich in protein and dietary fiber and provides the necessary
nutrients for daily living. Plants, on the other hand, are poor in protein and
have very little in the way of dietary fibers. Protein is found in meats,
poultry, fish, eggs, milk, soy products and nuts. Fats, on the other hand, come
from fats produced by plants like peanut oil or safflower oils. Fats also
provide a good source of energy for the body.



The most common types of food are carbohydrates and fat. Most carbohydrates are
found in fruits, vegetables, legumes (beans) and whole grains. Some dietary
fiber is found in fruits, vegetables, grains and potatoes. A healthy diet will
include foods that contain the following beneficial carbohydrates: whole grain
bread, pasta, rice, cereals, beans, potatoes, sugar, whole-grain bread and
pasta.



Essential amino acids are important building blocks of protein. Protein is
necessary for building muscle tissue as well as to maintain a healthy immune
system. The three basic food groups are meat, poultry, fish and vegetables.
Animal proteins tend to be richer in both fats and essential amino acids while
plant proteins tend to be rich in amino acids but not fat. Some plant foods,
including broccoli, soybeans, beans, nuts, eggs and lentils are considered to be
incomplete proteins.



There are a variety of methods used to improve the absorption of nutrients in
food. For example, some foods reduce the absorption of fats by coating the
surface of the food with fat. Foods with vitamin E can also enhance fat
absorption. Foods that contain antioxidants can absorb nutrients more readily
than do foods that are free of antioxidants. In addition, certain foods can
increase the rate at which nutrients are broken down in the intestines so that
they are more readily absorbed into the bloodstream.

Lifestyle is a set of attitudes, traditions, behaviors, and beliefs of an
individual, family, or group. The word was first introduced by Austrian
psychiatrist Alfred Adler in his famous book, The Case of Miss R. with the
interpretation of “the basic nature of human life as established early on”. A
social structure is determined, according to Adler, by the “psychological
tendency towards fixed, concrete, and unchangeable patterns of behavior which
are not modified by external factors” (ibid). The book is known for its use of
the word “lifestyle”, and its description of the “personality structure of a
person” (ibid), as a model for studying human relationships.



A healthy lifestyle can be defined as one in which the individual’s ability to
satisfy his needs and wants, is balanced with the availability of resources to
satisfy those needs and wants. The balanced life entails having reasonable
resources to meet all needs, having good interpersonal relationships, having a
healthy self-image, having a healthy sense of humor, having a satisfying career,
and enjoying recreational activities. To live a healthy lifestyle, we have to
learn to balance our needs and wants between these three aspects. Relying on our
own resources, such as our skills, our education, our resources from our friends
and family, and our means of livelihood will only lead to short-term solutions.
A healthy lifestyle is long-term in nature, requiring changes in thought,
feeling, behavior, and perception, as well as in your daily diet.



A lifestyle design is the way you live your life, as an extension of your
values, desires, goals, personality, resources, and personality. In essence, a
lifestyle design is your individual vision of the kind of person you want to be,
a description of how you want to interact with others, how you want to see

WHAT IS PEOPLE?

A people is any multiplicity of people considered as a distinct entity by the
members of that group. To put it differently, a people at a given place and time
constitutes a diverse group with members having dissimilar cultural, linguistic,
geographical and other attributes and whose interactions are governed by shared
interests, beliefs and goals. However, the concept of a people has special
significance in the modern era. In much of the world’s development over the past
century, people have become identified as a group rather than as individuals
with unique characteristics, whose interaction affects the society as a whole
and whose life experiences and choices determine the course of events in the
future.



For much of the last century, people were viewed as an ethnic group, a
designation applied by government and organizations to separate groups of people
defined by descent, language, race or religion. The concept of an ethnic group
had important political and social consequences for governments at different
times and places. For example, the first nations to emerge from the mists of
time were identified by their language, race or religion and established as
states. The notion of nationality was used to justify the practices of slavery
and discrimination against indigenous peoples. The expansion of European power
and the associated notions of liberty, democracy and human rights made the idea
of nationality more difficult to sustain.



In the nineteenth century, after the introduction of the term nation-hood (from
panne), a more acceptable and flexible concept of people existed which came to
include a diversity of national origins and identities. In certain parts of the
United States, the term multiethnic became part of the people’s lexicon. In
France during the late 1960’s, the concept of people’s identity became important
after the movement for a European unity.



The concept of people’s identity was rooted in the evolution of collectivism.
Individualism (the belief that there is no such thing as individual) and
collectivism (the belief that there is such a thing as collective) are social
groupings that have both been important in the history of thought. The tendency
to use different social classifications (e.g., upper-class, lower-class,
middle-class, working class, etc.)



The tendency to use distinct social classifications for people helped shape
modern conceptions of what classes are. In addition, some important changes in
the patterns of classification occurred because of new techniques of preserving
records and information. These new technologies allowed nineteenth-century
observers to see people as distinct categories, groups or races, which helped
them categorize and classify.



Modern scholars have shown that the persistence of people’s perceptions of race,
ethnicity and gender through the twentieth century reflects notions of racial
and social class distinctions that are shaped by specific modes of access to
land and other resources and by particular set concepts and ideas about the
relationships between people and the categories they identify with. These
notions also shape the cultural and social practices that surround sexuality,
reproduction and family formation. This paper suggests that notions of race,
ethnicity and gender emerge from the process of categorizing and the maintenance
of unequal social arrangements. The ideas of people’s place in relation to these
arrangements also help to shape the forms of romantic relationships and other
social interaction that they engage in. Finally, notions of gender and ethnicity
also contribute to the persistence of people’s search to understand human
identity.

Art is a broad collection of human activities which involve an attempt to
communicate, exhibit creativity, beauty, emotion, or other societal
significance, and visual sense. The term art originally comes from the Greek
work “artis” and “gift,” which was used to mean “skill.” In the Renaissance,
artists and painters were considered to be part of the elite class of people in
Europe. Over time, the term became less associated with the rich and powerful
and more associated with artists who were struggling against poverty and the
injustice that plagues many parts of the world today.



Today, contemporary art has been defined as an expression of an artist’s
imagination, feelings, and experience. Some examples of this type of artistic
expression include photography, sculpture, dance, television, computer
animation, installation art, architecture, painting, printmaking, jewelry, and
jewelery. In the 20th century, this type of art had many different
manifestations and many different contributors.



One of the early proponents of abstract art was the French surrealist painter
Malegasian Vien. Vien’s unique paintings, which are often called mementos, have
become some of the most recognizable images of the early twentieth century. In
his paintings, he portrayed abstract shapes and forms like circles, triangles,
and squares as well as detailed, organic scenes such as a garden or a boat.
Malegasian Vien’s paintings are still highly popular to this day.

Rauschenberg. Surrealism replaced the realistic painting style of Vien with

painted without using paint, and their paintings had a strange, dreamlike
quality about them that was difficult to decipher at first.



Conceptual artists are also responsible for creating the modern visual art form,
especially painting, drawing, and sculpture. The success of artist such as
Albert Camac in the 1950s is attributed to his use of geometric shapes and
pictures. Following his lead, many other artists followed suit and began to
paint the world in unique shapes. After World War II, the practice of using
vivid color became more mainstream. Abstract art is now widely accepted as an
art form, and many contemporary artists like theirs are able to sell their
artwork in the thousands with no need for a real estate agent or the approval of
a real estate broker.



The techniques used by these contemporary artists are not revolutionary, but
they are highly effective. The mixing and matching of colors, shapes, and forms,
as well as the utilization of various media have led to some of today’s most

There are many definitions for the term “lifestyle” or “vegan lifestyle”, so let
us focus on some examples. A lifestyle that is defined as being a vegetarian is
one in which there is a emphasis on eating organically produced foods,
practicing recycling or composting, using non-toxic paints or cleaners, growing
their own fresh fruits and vegetables, and refusing to wear leather, fur, or

WHAT IS BLACK AFRICAN?

A people is any number of people considered as a single entity. The idea of a
people, for our purposes, is the concept of a politically cohesive group of
people with common cultural, linguistic, and ethnic traits. For centuries,
groups of people have been recognized as a distinct grouping with shared
culture, language, and customs. Groups that have historically been recognized as
a people include: Ireland, England, Scotland, and Wales; Northern Ireland, the
Republic of Ireland, and Italy; nations in continental Europe: Austria, Belgium,
and Germany; Latin American countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, and Peru; and
indigenous peoples of the Americas, such as Native Americans and the Native
Americans of the United States.



There are many ways to categorize peoples based on criteria used to classify
individuals. Some people may be classified as one ethnic group, such as
Pakistani-Americans, Chinese-Americans, or others. Alternatively, some people
may be grouped by language, for example Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and so on.
Others may be grouped by a political affiliation, such as left-leaning,
right-leaning, or center-left. Still others may be grouped by religion, such as
Hindu, Muslim, and Christian.



Because most people do not want to associate with individuals or groups with
known violent tendencies, it has been difficult to develop universal criteria to
refer to different peoples. Unfortunately, the government continues to prosecute
individuals on charges of criminal acts using generic names that do not
accurately reflect the circumstances of each case, as this prevents citizens
from addressing their grievances with particular ethnic group or religious
group. In many instances, prosecutors fail to properly apply legal guidelines to
identify people according to their ethnicity or religious heritage, leading to
the disproportionate number of minorities being targeted for police and security
force brutality convictions.



While descriptive labels, such as “black American,” “Asian American,” or “brown
Indian” fail to accurately designate specific individuals or groups, there are
some exceptions to this generalization. One way to classify people is by their
language. Many young people do not want to use the word black or Asian in their
everyday life, but they know how to describe their complexion or race in speech,
literature, or conversation. To these individuals, race is just one word that
describes their ethnicity. In other cases, people choose a word people commonly
use to describe their group, such as Pakistani, Chinese, or Bosnian, and then
choose an ethnicity because they do not know much about the people of those
groups.



As a result, most scholars agree that there are at least two major varieties of
African people, more than three dozen smaller ethnic groupings, including
Egyptian, Kenyan, Maori, Indian, Igbo, Gujarati, Kazakh, Pakistani, Tamil, and
so on. Although people of African descent may be grouped into different racial
categories, it is sometimes difficult to decide whether the ancestry of an
individual is from Africa or from Europe, Asia, Latin America, or North America.
The African continents show few genetic admixture tests, compared to the ones
available for Europeans, Asians, and Americans. For example, most DNA testing
for admixture graphs actually come from Africa. This may help to determine the
origin of some African people but not others.



Since people of African descent may have different genetic profiles, they will
tend to have very different cultural and ethnic backgrounds. A person with mixed
African-European background might have a greater probability to have European
ancestry. Some people born in Africa and adopted outside of their mother’s
homeland are considered asymptomatic immigrants. These are the people who often
do not feel like they are a part of their original countries of birth, and thus
tend to call themselves as foreigners.
