PIPE DISTRIBUTION: WHY?

Traditionally focused on opioid injection, harm reduction can do so much more.

EquityEngagementEmpowerment

Non-injecting populations tend to experience intersectionality, further
marginalized within the world of drug use. Sex workers, BIPOC communities, and
those who engage in chemsex may benefit from access to safer use equipment for
smoking.


"Pipe distribution has opened up so many conversations we didn't know about
before. We now serve a wider range of people.."

Pipes create connections with non-injecting communities, and those who use
stimulants. Many people using drugs go without life saving connections to harm
reduction services, where liklihood of entering treatment is 5-10X greater.
Distributing pipes can help close this gap, and save lives.

"We have had reports from a significant amount of our participants that they
have greatly reduced or completely stopped injection drug use"

Intuitive design creates ease of use, simplifying consumption methods. By
eliminating complicated injection practices, we reduce risk associated with
rushed injection. Pipes, unlike syringes, can be cleaned and reused safely,
creating opportunitites for reuse as opposed to single-use injection supplies.
