As a product owner of software components and software developer at Siemens
Energy, you are an integral part of our mission "connecting efficient
factories". Within a global and distributed development team, you are
responsible for the architecture and the development of software components for
global engineering tools. Your work contributes to sustainable software
development in line with Siemens Energy guidelines such as cyber security. Their
results lead to the strengthening of Siemens Energy's competitiveness by
enabling the engineering in the sites to work more efficiently.

How You’ll Make an Impact:
* As a Software Developer you focus on the development of new features and
improvement of existing ones for the electrical design tools to shape the
transformer engineering process;
* You analyze, rate, and estimate business/user requirements and design
solutions in cooperation with the stakeholders and the project team;
* You handover and maintain software components for in-house operation at the
transformer production sites as well as perform user support;
* You help to improve the development methods and processes in a multi-cultural
agile and highly skilled team;
* You actively collaborate with teams from different departments and sites in an
international environment;
* As part of the future orientated digitalization and tool development team, you
contribute to the Siemens Energy transformer business in terms of quality,
efficiency, and sustainability.

What You Bring:

* Master’s degree preferably in computer science or other relevant programs like
physics, electrical engineering, or software engineering;
* Good knowledge of software architecture principles i.e., micro service
architecture as well as object-oriented software programming, C++ or C#
programming language;
* Experience in cloud technologies and software modernization projects
Experience in software development projects and tools i.e., GIT workflow and
continuous integration and deployment;
* Proficient communication skills in English are required as well as the
willingness to travel internationally;
* Knowledge of agile methodologies is beneficial;
* Familiarity in high voltage technology and transformers is a plus.
