We get a lot of questions about exporting kittens; people want to know how it
works and if it’s safe.

I use this explanation of the shipping procedure to put people at ease when they

Your Maine Coon Kitten will travel to your nearest airport from the airport that
is closest to us. Your kitten is transported via an airline-approved carrier in
a climate-controlled pet cabin. You will be provided with your Kitten’s flight
number, arrival time, and reference number in advance. You pick up your kitten
at the airport, just like when you pick up a person, and you’ll need an airbill
number or reference. We handle all the arrangements. or your home address is
where the kitten is being delivered. Since it’s less of a nuisance, the majority
of our customers prefer that the Kitten be brought to their homes. The kitten
experiences absolutely stress-free and safe shipping. Depending on where you
live, you should receive the kitten the same day after shipment within 5 to 6
hours.

Cats in aircraft are just as safe as you and I when we fly. I’ve been shipping
cats for over 14 years. When flying adults and kittens, I always attempt to ship
direct and nonstop. My experience has shown me that my kitties are really
comfortable, and the new owners have informed me that their new addition has
arrived content and unworried.

We employ airlines to send our kittens since it’s the quickest and safest method
of getting them from our house to yours, particularly if you live far away or in
a different state. Depending on the weight of the kitten, the distance, or the
length of the trip, we can customize the plastic pet kennel that is used for
shipping, which is permitted by the airlines. They travel in a separate,
pressurized, climate-controlled section of the aircraft that is identical to the
cabin. They do not reside in the same space as the passenger bags.

Vivid “LIVE ANIMALS” and “UP” stickers prominently display on our shipment containers.
The customer’s phone number, address, and confirmation number are prominently marked on the crates along with their destination airport.

The box has never caused them any fear. We filled the cargo crate to the brim
with food and drink. The Kitten gets all the moisture it needs for delivery from
the water. One reason we do this is so we don’t have to worry about the Kitten
not having enough food or drink in the unlikely event that they get stranded at
an airport overnight due to a connecting flight issue. Even though they don’t
have a difficult time traveling, we try not to make them spend longer time in
transit than is strictly required. Because of this, we also try to find the
shortest route and, whenever feasible, plan direct flights.

We only ship when we believe it is safe to do so, after checking the weather
conditions at the receiving end. We prioritize the health of our kittens over
all other factors and refrain from shipping when we believe it could endanger
their welfare. Typically, we ship Monday through Sunday. We promise that your
kitten will arrive healthy and safe. If we believe that the weather poses a risk
to the kitten, WE WILL NOT SHIP. The vast majority of clients tell us that their
kitties act right at home the moment they step out of the shipping crate, but
sometimes it takes them a day or two to settle in. Your kitten may need a few
days to adjust to their new homes.
