A rather simple entry, early in the British cropcircle season. The eclipse in
the biggest circle probably commemorates this year's solar eclipse on August 21,
which will be the first seen in North America for a number of years.
There are two lunar eclipses in 2017, however, one happened on February 11, and
was only penumbral, and the other is due on August 7, and will be partial.
Perhaps the two satellite circles represent those events.
There seem to be a couple of tentative circles along the edge of the field.
Of course, this is purely speculative, as all interpretations of landscape art
must be without a firm knowledge of the cultural references of the creators of
each piece of crop circle art.
I used to follow the annual crop circle seasons but barely look at them any more
unless they are spectacular or otherwise interesting.

He was their perfect unwitting tool. His show's promotion of alien activities as
reported by citizen scientists inadvertently discredited them as glory hounds
making things up to get on a nationally syndicated program. It allowed them many
extra years to continue their work even as witnesses were ignored for being on
"that show."
If Art Bell hadn't existed the aliens would have had to create him to provide
that kind of cover.

It's the "Arecibo reply" crop circle that replies to Carl Sagan's message sent
out in 1974. Almost the same, but indicating silicon based instead of carbon
based. It was a hot hot story in early September 2001, but 9/11 buried that and
we are still having eternal war in Eastasia.
"The response
The crop circle is a near replica of the Arecibo message, which contained
various pieces of information such as the numbers of chemical elements, the
composition of DNA, the position of Earth in the Solar System, and a depiction
of a human being. The "answer" itself doesn't expand much upon this and still
forms the same 23 x 73 grid (because these numbers are primes) and most of the
chemical data remains the same. The changes to the message to create the
response are straight from existing alien folklore and science fiction. In the
section detailing important chemical elements, the main focus is altered from
carbon to silicon, and the diagram of DNA is re-scribbled slightly. At the
bottom, the pictogram of a human is replaced with a shorter figure with a large,
bulbous head. This is a clear reference to the "grey" type of alien, and as a
depiction could only be something that a human came up with.
Note also the obvious representation of the Flying Spaghetti Monster... four
years before Bobby Henderson's letter to the Kansas School Board. Oo-wee-oo!"

A friend of mine and I once had a grand plan to make some crop circles in a
nearby farmer's field. We were going to make some really intricate design that
looked like a DNA strand, then stomp out the phrase, "You people are stupid" in
Klingonese.
We never got around to it.
