ALEX FERGUSON HAD BEEN ADVISED TWO REAL MADRID LEGENDS

March 19, 2023 index

Sir Alex Ferguson had been advised to sign two legends from Real Madrid by
former Man United player Jordi Cruyff.  After having spent time in Spain while
he was on loan from United at Celta Vigo, Cruyff had been asked by Ferguson to
scout recommendations.

The Dutchman had urged the boss to go after two of his teammates from Celta at
the time, Claude Makelele and Michel Salgado. Nevertheless, Ferguson had decided
against moving two players and eventually made about 500 appearances for Real
Madrid. Read More

UNITED SIXTH ON POST-FERGUSON ERA TABLE

October 9, 2022 index

Sir Alex Ferguson enjoyed a sensational managerial career at Manchester United
before he retired nine years ago. The Scotsman won a lot of major honours with
the Red Devils during his time in their dugout. Sir Alex Ferguson signed off as
the Manchester United manager in the perfect way possible after he led them to
the Premier League title. The Red Devils won the Premier League title in the
final season of Sir Alex Ferguson as manager. Since then, they have failed to
hit the heights reached during the Ferguson managerial era at the club.

Manchester United have appointed four permanent managers since the exit of Sir
Alex Ferguson and they have been unable to win a single league title. The last
league title came in the 2012/13 season when Ferguson was the manager. As a
matter of fact, Manchester United have not won any major trophy in five years.
They made their fifth permanent managerial appointment on the back of the
Ferguson era this summer with the arrival of Dutchman Erik Ten Hag. If he
manages not to win a major trophyin his debut season at Old Trafford, it would
make it six years without a single major trophy for the club. Read More

July 25, 2022 index

Ex-Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson was in attendance for the
semifinal clash between home favouriteCameron Norrie and world number one Novak
Djokovic at the 2022 Wimbledon Open known as SW22. Sir Alex Ferguson was one of
the dignitaries on centre court for the last four clash between Norrie and
Djokovic last week Friday.

British number one Norrie came into his first Wimbledon Open semifinal clash
with the aim of upsetting Serbian star Djokovic who was the overwhelming
favourite and has won the last three editions of the tournament. On his part,
Norrie had never gone past the third round stage. The home fans including Sir
Alex Ferguson were rooting for Norrie ahead of his last four clash with
Djokovic. In the end, his amazing run to the semifinals was stopped by Djokovic.

NUNEZ BLOW COULD BRING BACK MEMORIES OF FERGUSON’S TRANSFER MISTAKE

June 29, 2022 index

Liverpool’s blockbuster swoop for Darwin Nunez could lead Manchester United to
plot a move for Bayern Munich goal machine Robert Lewandowski. That is according
to the Daily Star, who claim the Red Devils will try to tempt the wantaway
striker away from his ideal destination of Barcelona. Lewandowski is one of a
host of Europe’s elite strikers expected to be on the move this summer, with the
prolific Poland international outlining his intention to leave Bayern. The
33-year-old has entered the final year of his contract, and publicly declared
his career at the Allianz Arena is over.

United are expected to undergo a major rebuild this summer following a miserable
end to last season under interim boss Ralf Rang nick. Former Ajax boss ten Hag
has reportedly been handed a transfer budget in excess of £100 million, and
in-demand Benefice star Nunez was said to be at the top of the shortlist. Read

MAN UTD’S LEAKED HOME SHIRT AND THE BEST THINGS ABOUT IT

May 20, 2022 index

Manchester United will sport yet another new home shirt for when Erik ten Hag
takes charge. The Red Devils, like every other team in the Premier League,
change their jerseys year after year. And the new kit certainly looks like it’s
throwing things back to the 1990s when Sir Alex Ferguson ruled the roost.

Ferguson assembled a squad full of immense talent to win six league titles
during that decade, despite Arsenal, Newcastle and Blackburn also competing.
Also during that time, United often wore kits with collars and smart embroidery
on – as a reflection of that time period. When you think of players such as Eric
Cantona, Steve Bruce and Bryan Robson, it’s hard for those jerseys not to come
to mind. Read More

IS TEN HAG THE MAN TO BRING BACK ALEX FERGUSON’S LEGACY?

April 27, 2022 index

Erik ten Hag is emerging as the front runner for what is possibly the toughest
job in football – the manager of Manchester United. But how has a man who
doesn’t love the limelight reached this possibility? Despite Mauricio
Pochettino’s name having been in the ring for years, it seems increasingly
likely that the man who will ultimately take the job will be Ajax manager Erik
ten Hag.

Since Ferguson bowed out, bringing an end to the glory years of English
football’s most successful club, United has burned through seven managers. Ten
Hag is reportedly not completely convinced by the possibility of taking the job
with many major issues that need to be addressed within the squad. Read More

ERIK TEN HAG REVEALS CONVERSATION WITH SIR ALEX FERGUSON

March 30, 2022 index

As Ten Hag becomes United’s preferred candidate in the managerial race, he’s
already been told about life at United by a club legend.  The Ajax boss has
emerged over the past few days as United’s preferred candidate to become the
club’s next permanent manager. Although no plans have been finalised, United
still intend on making an appointment before the end of the current season.

Ten Hag has impressed United with his ability to assemble two successful teams
during his time in charge of Ajax. His potential for longevity also appeals to
the club, with the 52-year-old having been in charge in Amsterdam since December
2017. Read More

FERGUSON’S RUTHLESSNESS KEY TO UNITED’S REVIVAL

February 8, 2022 index

Sir Alex Ferguson would always be remembered as one of the greatest managers in
the history of football. The Scottish took United from just a regular club in
England to the most successful club in English football. As a manager, Ferguson
was known for his hairdryer treatment as he fondly called it.

One particular incident that fans would always remember was a tackle on
Manchester United player Denis Irwin against Feyenoord. Before this incident,
Ferguson has always remained calm on the touchline fans never offered the
opportunity of seeing the United Gaffer in a full “hairdryer” mode. In that UCL
group game, United was leading 3*0 thanks to an Andy Cole hat trick when a
disgraceful tackle was launched at Irwin.

FERGUSON BACKING PROVES VITAL FOR SOLSKJAER

December 6, 2021 index

Embattled Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has the backing of
legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson and that proved vital in buying him some
time in the quest to turn things around at the club.

Experienced Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano recentlystated that Solskjaer
could have lost his job as the Manchester United manager in the wake of the
heavy home defeat to Liverpool if not for Sir Alex Ferguson who was able to use
his influence to ask for more time from the other board members with the
conviction that Solskjaer has what it takes to turn the current run of poor form
around for the better.

FERGUSON DISAGREES WITH SOLSKJAER ON RONALDO

October 29, 2021 index

Legendary Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson was not in agreement with
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer over the decision to start his talisman, Cristiano Ronaldo
on the bench for the Everton game just before the current international break.
Sir Alex Ferguson was filmed after the game, telling undisputed UFC champion
KhabibNurmagomedov that Ronaldo should have started the game which ended in a
disappointing 1-1 home draw for the Red Devils.

Ronaldo scored in added time to give Manchester United a first win in the
Champions League this season via a 2-1 home win over Spanish team Villarreal and
the game was just over two days before the Everton thus prompting Solskjaer to
rest the Portuguese attacker. The decision to rest Ronaldo from the start
backfired on the Manchester United boss as his team couldn’t beat an in-form
Everton at home to make it two Premier League matches without a win at the
Theatre of Dreams following the 1-0 home defeat to Aston Villa in their
penultimate league game.
