WELCOME TO DTEI

We cultivate equitable learning environments across campus through pedagogical
development opportunities focused on integrating innovative, evidence-based, and
inclusive teaching practices.


WORKSHOPS

DTEI workshops provide opportunities for faculty, adjunct faculty, graduate
students and postdocs to discuss best practices in teaching and learning and the
DTEI can also create a tailor-made workshop for a department, school, or
instructional groups.

modes of teaching and learning activities.

WHAT WE DO


PEDAGOGICAL CONSULTATION

DTEI offers teaching consultations for faculty, graduate students, and postdocs.
Make a one-on-one appointment with our team.


COURSE DESIGN

Instructors designing new online courses or transforming an existing course for
online delivery can receive support from DTEI’s full-scale online course
development services.


DIGITAL LEARNING

DTEI provides support in various digital learning and online teaching related
matters including course development and pedagogical consultation.


DTEI TRAINING & WORKSHOPS

DTEI offers a wide array of teaching programs to support professional
development and to foster a positive culture of teaching and learning across
campus.


EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH

DTEI offers assistance for novice educational researchers including feedback on
study design and collaboration on data analysis. We also function as an external
evaluator on existing grant-funded projects.


LEARNING SPACES & TECHNOLOGIES

DTEI works collaboratively with campus technology and administrative units to
enhance institutional support for current and future educational practices.


GRAD STUDENT & POSTDOC PROGRAMS

DTEI offers a variety of programs to support the current and future teaching
goals of graduate students and postdoctoral scholars while promoting inclusive
learning environments on campus.


GRANTS & FUNDING

DTEI offers funding opportunities for faculty as well as for graduate students
and postdoctoral scholars. Learn more about DTEI-sponsored grants and funding

ACTIVE LEARNING

DTEI supports campus-wide efforts to promote active learning. This includes
offering a plethora of professional development training, leading the oversight
of our state of the art Anteater Learning Pavilion, and conducting cutting edge
research to identify the impacts of active learning on UCI students and faculty.
