Saunders provides several converting services such as die-cutting, laminating,
slitting, packaging, assembly, and other manufacturing solutions to our
customers at highly competitive industry rates.

GASKET MANUFACTURING

Saunders' custom gasket manufacturing capabilities extend to a broad range of
material types, specifications and applications. Whatever your needs, Saunders
is ready to get the job done.


ADHESIVE BONDING

Adhesive bonding can be anything from the bonding of 2 separate substrates to
adhering 2 finished parts together.


COMPLEX LAMINATING

Laminating is the process of bonding multiple substrates together to achieve
improved strength, stability and appearance.


DIE CUTTING/KISS CUTTING

Die Cutting creates custom individual shapes. Kiss Cutting leaves custom shapes
on a carrier liner so parts are supplied in roll or sheet format.


DIGITAL CUTTING

Digital Cutting uses blades to convert substrates with tight tolerances. It is a
great solution for large format parts and is excellent for prototyping.


FLEXOGRAPHIC PRINTING

Flexographic Printing uses cylinders, raised rubber plates, and ink to create
custom branding, printed liners, and messaging on various substrates.


KIT ASSEMBLY

Kitting is a value-added service to package various components to create a
unique part set. We also offer product assembly options.


LASER CUTTING

Laser Cutting is a great option for creating intricate shapes out of challenging
materials and allows for fast turnarounds with no tooling.


PRECISION SLITTING

Slitting creates sheets or rolls by cutting down wider rolls to narrower widths
or slitting sheets into strips.


PROTOTYPING

Whatever stage of the manufacturing process you are at, we are here to help with
everything from prototyping a design to providing you with a finished product.


ROLL SLITTING

Slitting creates rolls by cutting down wider rolls to narrower widths. Depending
on the material, widths of 1/16" or narrower can be achieved.


SHEETING

Sheeting cuts adhesives and other flexible materials to any conceivable square
or rectangular shape commonly with no tooling expense.


SPOOLING & REWINDING

Rewinding creates custom length rolls at desired widths and diameters that can
reduce material changeover and eliminate waste.

CASE STUDY #1

INDUSTRY: GRAPHICS

LOCATION: MINNESOTA

THE CHALLENGE

Customer was hand cutting tape and employees were experiencing confusion in
deciphering the correct tape side to apply to the graphic and to the wall.

THE SOLUTION

Saunders added a secondary extended liner to the permanent psa side of the tape
and provided the customer with precut 24" strips.

THE RESULT

This changed how the tape was provided:
 * Increased Production
 * Lowered Assembly Cost
 * Reduced Assembly Confusion Among Employees


CASE STUDY #2

INDUSTRY: ELECTRONICS

LOCATION: CALIFORNIA

THE CHALLENGE

The customer was looking for a lower-cost alternative tape to their current
adhesive process. They needed the parts supplied in a format that would support
their high-speed assembly needs. The customer also needed support on having
product available on-demand even though their ability to forecast was limited.

THE SOLUTION

The Engineers at Saunders suggested using 3M RP45 VHB tape as the lower cost
adhesive alternative and proposed, that to speed up production they would apply
a quick-release liner, kiss cut them to their proper sizes and die cut holes for
easy installing. Saunders also established an on-demand stocking program to
combat their previously long lead times.

THE RESULT

This changed how the tape was provided:
 * Cut the Customers Costs by 30%
 * Decreased Assembly Time from 30 to 10 Seconds
 * Reduced Lead-Time from 3-4 Weeks to an In House On-Demand Stock and 24-Hour
   Ship Program


CASE STUDY #3

INDUSTRY: ELECTRONICS

LOCATION: CALIFORNIA

THE CHALLENGE

Major phone manufacturer was looking for a tape that would bond a silicone base
to various types of point of purchase countertops. The part needed to have a
printed message stating this side to the product. Lastly, the final parts needed
to be bagged individually with an alcohol wipe, heat-sealed, and have a 3"x2"
label added on the outside (which included many text fields, with each having a
corresponding barcode).

THE SOLUTION

Samples were sent and tested. Once a solution was met the Saunders team went to
work with their Autocad skills and designed a custom cut solution that would fit
the customers' needs. Once these issues were worked through discussions
continued as the finished parts were then bagged individually with an alcohol
wipe, heat-sealed, and have a 3"x2" label added on the outside (which included
many test fields, with each having a corresponding barcode).

THE RESULT

This customer's challenges were met swiftly and smoothly helping the customer:

 * Reduced Installer Assembly Confusion
